Dark Pitamus is the het ship between Dark Pit and Dark Samus from the Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Canon[]
Dark Pit and Dark Samus both had their start in the series as re-colors of Pit and Samus. However, in Dark Pit's case, he actually started as a simple re-color, but proved to be so popular with fans that Masahiro Sakurai turned him into an actual character in Kid Icarus: Uprising, only to turn him into his own character in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.
They are both classified as "Echo Fighters", which is the Smash term for characters who are considered extensions of pre-existing characters. Unlike most Echo Fighters, who are unique individuals that happen to have similar movesets to their templates, Dark Pit and Dark Samus are direct copies of Pit and Samus respectively. Though Dark Pit lives up to his name, being Pit's literal reflection given sentience after Pit tried to smash the Mirror of Truth, Dark Samus' resemblance to Samus is mostly a coincidence, as the character is actually Metroid Prime fused into Samus' Phazon Suit and only has strands of Samus' DNA in common with her. Though they're very similar in conception, Dark Pit has a moral compass and is willing to work with his light counterpart if times call for it, Dark Samus appears to be evil despite her sentience, stopping at nothing to see Samus vanquished.
In Dark Pit's Classic Mode, "Created Warriors", Dark Samus is his second opponent. On Dark Samus' page on smashbros.com, she can be seen striking Dark Pit with her forward aerial.
Fanon[]
Having Dark Pit and Dark Samus interact was a common theme in fanart after Dark Samus' reveal. Since Dark Pit is something of a loner, he is interpreted as finding kinship in another copy of a pre-existing character. However, his social skills tend to vary, sometimes he doesn't get much further than asking her if she also came from a mirror, only for her to emit a demonic screech while Dark Pit just stands there, completely deadpan. Though the headcanon that Dark Pit wants to be friends with other dark counterparts is popular, some also have him looking down on them, arguing that Dark Pit canonically doesn't actually see himself as Pit's dark counterpart: He's his own person, according to him.
Generally, due to the "Dark Zero Suit Samus" trend, in which fanartists depicted Dark Samus without the Phazon Suit looking like a color-swapped Zero Suit Samus with stereotypically "evil" traits like scars, a number of Dark Pitamus fanwork references this phenomenon by having Dark Samus take off her helmet in front of Dark Pit, revealing her grotesque blue skull with three eyes. Some play this entirely for comedy, like AwkwardZombie's comic about Wolf and Dark Pit imagining a stereotypical version of "Dark Zero Suit Samus" and urging the real deal to take her helmet off, only to scream in terror when they realize that her "helmet" is actually her head and they just watched her decapitate herself. Others play it completely seriously, having Dark Pit call Dark Samus beautiful and unique without her helmet, making her cry tears of joy.
Some also include Dark Link, who also appears in Smash, but only as an alt-costume of Link. A common joke about them is that there's already a Dark Link, a Dark Samus and a Dark Pit, so logically, "Dark Ness" is next, represented by a completely black panel. Some also have Dark Pit and Dark Samus approach Chrom believing him to be a "Dark Marth", much to his annoyance.
Dark Pitamus is a rarepair on AO3, with only a single fic listed.
