Season 2

EVERYBODY LOVES A CLOWN

Sam and Dean head to the Roadhouse for the first time to find Ellen. When they arrive the building is closed down and Dean choses to break in. Inside he is stopped by Jo who puts a rifle to his back. Dean moves to take the gun but Jo punches him. Ellen comes into the room and tells her to stand down as they are John Winchester's sons. Jo greets both of them and Dean asks if she's going to hit him again.

Later, Dean sits down by Jo and learns that her mom got into hunting because of Jo's deceased father who was a hunter. Dean tries to proposition her but backs off because he deems it to be "wrong place, wrong time". Jo says she thought he was going to toss her a cheap pickup line and Dean is embarrassed as it's what he was going to do.

After the case is done Sam and Dean come back to the Roadhouse and Sam leaves Dean and Jo alone for them to have some alone time. Jo asks Dean if she is going to see him again as she "wouldn't hate it". Dean wants to be honnest and says he isn't in the mood for this type of thing as the moment (presumably because John just died).

SIMON SAID

Sam and Dean visit the Roadhouse and Dean and Jo greet each other. Dean apologizes for not having much time to talk to her.

Later, Jo plays REO Speedwagon "Can't Fight This Feeling" on the jukebox while Dean drinks at the bar and the banter about the song. Jo asks Dean about his mother but when she offers her help he declines, saying he's afraid of her mother.

When Sam and Dean leave the Roadhouse, Dean sings "Can't Fight This Feeling", saying the song is stuck in his head.

• Dean says that Jo dying was a tragedy and Sam tells him he shouldn't keep this stuff in.
• Dean admits that he feels guilt for Jo's death.

Point of No Return

• Dean mentions Jo among the people he and Sam have gotten killed.

• At first Dean refuses to work with Meg because she got Ellen and Jo killed.

My Heart Will Go On

• Dean is devastated to learn that Jo will die if Balthazar sinks the Titanic. Sam and Dean have a hard time deciding what the right choice should be.
