Character

Della Duck is the twin sister of Donald Duck, and the mother of Huey, Dewey, and Louie. She is brash and excitable, and known for making impulsive decisions. This attitude comes to a head when it causes her to be stranded on the moon for over a decade.

Della is a talented pilot, and very friendly. She strives to be a good mother for her boys, and a good sister to Donald.

• In the earliest short mentioning her, Della addressed herself as "Dumbella Duck" when writing Donald that her boys are going to visit him. DuckTales later clarified that "Dumbella" was a mean nickname Don gave her when they were kids.
