Dharkleem is the slash ship between Galeem and Dharkon from the Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Canon[]
Galeem and Dharkon are both unique bosses for the "World of Light" story mode in Ultimate, they cannot be fought anywhere else. They're both creatures of pure light and pure darkness respectively. They have very similar designs, yet they also contrast each other: Galeem is a ball of light with glowing wings floating around it, Dharkon is a giant blue and yellow eye attached to a "body" made of thorns. Galeem is not good despite being made of light, both share the goal of wanting to wipe out the Smash characters and their worlds, trying to reshape them in their own image. However, for reasons that are never made clear, Galeem and Dharkon also hate each other.
Both are also the most powerful creatures in the Super Smash Bros. multiverse, rivalling Tabuu in not only being capable of transfiguration (sentient being to trophy), but also creation, giving the Spirits they robbed their bodies from new bodies in the form of evil copies of the playable characters. They also stand above Master Hand and Crazy Hand, Galeem commands an entire army of Master Hands, Dharkon commands an army of Crazy Hands. The exact origins of Master Hand and Crazy Hand were never made clear.
Dharkon first appears after Galeem's first defeat, the sky suddenly starts to crumble, Dharkon invades the World of Light with his own army. The caption says that with Galeem, the Lord of Light defeated, darkness takes hold. Galeem is afraid of Dharkon and flees. Dharkon gives chase, aiming to finish what Galeem started by taking control of Galeems puppets and creating a World of Darkness, beneath the World of Light.
Once the playable characters also defeat Dharkon, he flees, with Galeem giving chase this time. The final battle takes place in the Final World, neither light nor darkness, with Galeem and Dharkon trying to destroy each other along with the playable characters. Once the players reach the final stage and defeat Dharkon, Galeem will take the upper hand, turn Dharkon into dust and engulf the world in light again, leaving nobody to stop him the second time. Defeating only Galeem in turn has him finishing Galeem off, corrupting the world and seemingly killing Mario along with his allies.
The only way to truly defeat Galeem and Dharkon is by challenging them at the same time, in which the two bitter enemies will work together to defeat everyone who challenges them. Once they're defeated, they will fall into the sea, with their hand armies disintegrating. Both of them will explode in a wave of yellow and purple light, a wave that puts the worlds back into their rightful places. The Spirits claimed by Galeem and Dharkon are finally free, returning to their original bodies in a spire of blue light. The player then receives the Spirits of Galeem and Dharkon themselves as a reward.

Dharkleem is not too uncommon of a ship, with art shipping them as both their "single floating eye with limbs" selves, alongside many also humanizing them. For whatever reason, people think that Dharkon is the one wearing the pants in their relationship, Galeem is often portrayed as either feminine or androgynous compared to the clearly masculine Dharkon.
It seems that people don't really "need" a reason to ship them, the sheer hilarity of shipping two orbs who canonically hate each other appears to be enough.

- The ship name "Equilibrium" was coined by "incorrectsmashbrosquotes" on Tumblr. The term refers to a state in which opposing forces are in balance, representing the balance between Light and Darkness that needed to be achieved to defeat them both.
