DiaEli is the femslash ship between Eli Ayase and Dia Kurosawa from the Love Live! fandom.
Canon[]
During Dia and Ruby's childhood, they were both huge fans of idols. Dia in particular has a preference for Eli. For example, In Love Live! School Idol Festival: All Stars. An alternate timeline in which the stories of μ's, Aqours, and Nijigasaki are happening simultaneously, Dia is shown to admire Eli. As mature big sisters, they get along well. Dia even asks Eli for advice on multiple occasions.
In the SIFAS card story for Dia's Brightest Melody card, Dia and Eli are shown cooking together. Dia talks about making a list to organize things in her head, which Eli responds with telling her she does too. Dia tells Eli she can understand her as a fellow student council president. Eli continues talking about how she has a lot of things said to her at once, and she needs a list to organize it. Dia agrees, and states as a student council president she must do work by her self. Eli agrees, and Dia is happy that they're very similar to each other. Eli says that it might be a common trait of student council presidents.
Dia and Eli have many similarities. Both and are 162cm tall. Both are the initial antagonists of their series, being against school idols before eventually coming around to become one. They are both calm, strict and mature. Their looks are both mature as well. Their birthdays are both in winter. Both are the cool attributes of the third years. They also both have little sisters.
Fanon[]
DiaEli is not as popular of a ship in the Love Live! fandom because the two have never met in canon. It is the second most popular cross-idol group ship. It's shipped mainly because of their similarities and Dia's admirations for Eli. Dia is often showed in memes to be an extreme fan of Eli's, having merch all over her walls and even bodypillows. It's a popular headcanon that Dia has a crush on Eli.
