Dimeship is the het ship between Scrooge McDuck and Magica De Spell from the DuckTales fandom.

Comics[]
Magica is an Italian witch, whose biggest desire is to steal Scrooge's Number One Dime. She believes that it has been imbued with great power, simply by being owned by him, and wants to use it to create a powerful amulet for herself. She is constantly coming up with tricks and schemes to steal the dime, but is always outwitted by Scrooge and his nephews.
DuckTales (1987)[]
Magica is a reoccurring character, who again desires to steal Scrooge's Number One Dime.
DuckTales (2017)[]
Magica plays a much larger role in the reboot, particularly in the first season where she is portrayed as the main "big bad". She has a past with Scrooge, who has banished her to another dimension and turned her into a shadow. She seeks to return to the real world, and to steal Scrooge's Number One Dime so that she can have revenge against him. She spends the entirety of the first season attempting to manipulate her "niece" Lena Sabrewing into stealing the dime.
Eventually she chooses to possess Lena and use her body to convince Scrooge to give up his dime. However, Magica is dismayed when she finds Scrooge to be utterly depressed and despondent over the possibility of losing his nephews. Magica is furious, as this pathetic Scrooge is not the one that she spent fifteen years imagining how to vanquish. When Magica finally acquires the dime, she is freed and is able to gain her revenge against Scrooge by trapping him in the coin.
Scrooge's family eventually arrives to free him, and he and Magica engage in a physical fight with one another. During the scuffle, Magica's staff is broken and her power is sapped. She swears revenge against Scrooge and his family for the second time, swearing this isn't the last they've seen of her, before running off.

Dimeship is one of Scrooge's earliest known ships, with the character of Magica being introduced in the comics in the 1960s. She continued to play major roles in the original DuckTales cartoon, as well as the beloved DuckTales game for the SNES. These appearances brought many fans to ship the characters, often viewing Magica as Scrooge's arch enemy.
Newer fans were potentially drawn to the ship thanks to the casting for the reboot series; David Tenant, who played Scrooge, and Catherine Tate, who played Magica, were known for playing Doctor Who fan favourite characters the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble. Fans of Dimeship are often shippers who love hero/villain dynamics, or want to see some sort of redemption arc for Magica.
The ship name, "Dimeship", comes from the fact that Magica is obsessed with getting her hands on Scrooge's Number One Dime.
There are currently over 65 works for this pairing on AO3. It is the most popular ship in the DuckTales (Cartoon 1987) tag. It doesn't even scratch the top 10 of the 2017 reboot tag. Dimeship is Magica's most popular ship, and Scrooge's seventh most popular.
