Dimimari is the het ship between Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd and Marianne von Edmund from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd and Marianne von Edmund two playable characters in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and it's sequel Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Marianne's parents were minor nobles of the Leicester Alliance and died when their daughter was 14. Marianne was adopted by her distant relative Margrave Edmund. Dimitri is the prince Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. When he was 14 he became the only surviving royal of the Tragedy of Duscur where he loose his father and his step-mother. This event traumatized him. In the Imperial Year 1180 they both became student at Garreg Mach Monastery Officers Academy. Marianne join the Golden Deer class while Dimitri became the house leader of the Blue Lions. If Byleth choose to teach to the Blue Lions houses Dimitri will be their student. Byleth can recruit Marianne regardless of the house chosen. If the Blue Lion is chosen and Marianne recruited they can have support conversations. If they reach an A support at the end the the game they will wed.
Academy Time[]
If Byleth choose the Blue Lion and recruit Marianne she will be able to have support conversations with Dimitri. In their C support Marianne is praying. Dimitri apologize for interrupting her but she answers that she had already finished. He asks her what she was praying for. Marianne says that she was asking the goddess for forgiveness because she put their soldiers in danger during the recent battle. Dimitri tells her that she shouldn't blame herself for that since they came back safely in the end. Marianne explains that he was injured when coming to their aid. He dodges, saying that it was just a scratch, and that he considers it a small price for their safety. He continues, telling Marianne that he would never regret helping an ally even at the cost of his life. She thanks him for helping her in a battle, but disagrees that it was right to save her and asks him to keep his distance from her in the future. Dimitri declares that he will be there for her, whether she want him to or not.
In their B support Marianne is eating in the dining hall. Dimitri asks if he can sit with her since there isn't another open spot. She affirms that he can. Dimitri apologizes for being near her since she asked him to stay away from her. She says that it's fine and they begin to discuss their last conversation. She explains that she asked Dimitri to stay away from her because she thinks she is destined to bring misfortune to anyone who get close to her. Dimitri informs her that he doesn't believe that she's curse and to the contrary he finds her to be a lucky charm of sorts. Dimitri voices her feelings and reveals that he knows how she feels because he has undergone the same thing. He then jokes that maybe he is the cause of the cursed happenings and misfortune, to which she finally laughs. Marianne says that she is happy that there's finally someone who understands what she's going through.
Azure Moon[]
If Marianne was recruited in Byleth's class she will reunite with the other Blue Lions after the five year timeskip at Garreg Mach. Dimitri has become so consumed with revenge that he can't interact with the others. After the death of Rodrigue, Dimitri realizes his mistakes and reverts to his personality before the flame emperor's revelation but with more grief. He can once again support with the others (including Marianne).
Their A support takes place after a battle. Marianne notes that she survived while many others, in her opinion, deserve life better died in the fight. Dimitri tells her that he often feels the same way but that they must live to atone their sins and that's probably why the goddess made him survive. Dimitri says that Marianne doesn't have to smile through her suffering but she not give up. Then he states that he would be devastated if she had died. Marianne notes that he is the first one to not tell her to cheer up and that his life must also be difficult for him to understand her position. She remarks that their difficulties have brought them closer together. She asks him to promise that he will live through this war and long after, and that she wouldn't know what to do with herself if she loses him. Dimitri replies that as long as she carries on, he has yet another reason to carry on himself, and he promises to the Sothis that he will never give her cause to despair.
In their paired ending Dimitri becomes king and marries Marianne several years after his coronation. It's stated that many of Dimitri's greatest achievements can be traced to wisdom provided by Marianne, who had received tutelage from her adoptive father, Margrave Edmund. Many years later, when Dimitri fell to illness, he clutched his queen's hand until the very end. The queen's journal, uncovered after her passing, contained accounts of their time together. The last words, penned with trembling hand, are: "I would not trade our time together or the happiness we knew for anything."
Verdant Wind[]
In the Verdant Wind route Byleth chooses to teach the Golden Deer. Marianne is automatically assigned to Byleth class at the beginning of the story and joins the Leicester Alliance army on behalf of her adoptive father after the timeskip. Dimitri is accused of murdering his uncle Rufus but is able to escape execution in Fhirdiad, where he raised an army in secret. On Gronder Field the armies of the Empire, the Kingdom and the Alliance clash in a recreation of the Battle of the Eagle and Lion from the Academy phase. Dimitri is too consumed by his rage to consider siding with the Alliance. Still driven by the ghosts of his past and stuck in the state we find him in Azure Moon, he is only able to see Edelgard. The Alliance's army ultimately emerges victorious. Dimitri chases after Edelgard and is finally killed by the Empire's army.
Silver Snow[]
In Silver Snow Marianne and Dimitri don't interact during the academy or war phase. Dimitri does not appear in this route after the timeskip, and is presumed dead. If Marianne wasn't recruited before the timeskip she won't appear in the war phase otherwise she will follow Byleth and will be engaged in the Church army.
Crimson Flower[]
In Crimson Flower if Marianne was recruited before the timeskip she will follow Byleth and side with the Empire. Dimitri is crowned king and gives asylum to Rhea and the Knights of Seiros in Fhirdiad. The Kingdom and the Empire armies fight at the Tailtean Plains, the empire is victorious and Dimitri dies in the battle. If Marianne wasn't recruited before the timeskip she will not appear during the war phase and her fate is unknown.
Fanon[]
Dimimari is one of the most popular het ship for both Dimitri and Marianne. It popularity is a bit overshadowed by the popularity of Dimileth, however many Dimileth shipper consider that Dimimari is the second best romantic option for Dimitri and pair him with Marianne when they play with a male Byleth. The ship is liked for the fact that in their support Marianne and Dimitri understand each other.
Most fanarts took advantage of the fact that Marianne and Dimitri had the same main colors (yellow and blue). Many fanworks that take place after the Azure Moon ending show them with a son (because Gilbert solo ending mention that he train the young prince a popular headcanon in the fandom is that Dimitri always had a son regardless of whom he marry). Some fanarts use their three hopes appearance. In general their child is depicted with blond hair and brown eyes.
