Dinbo is the het ship between Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze from the The Mandalorian fandom.

The Mandalorian Season 2[]
The Heiress[]
Din Djarin escorts Frog Lady back to the planet of Trask to reunite with her husband. It is there where he meets a quarren Captain that says he will take Din and Grogu to the other Mandalorians. He betrays them by launching Grogu into the mouth of a mamacore and throwing Din into the water. Three Mandalorians fly onto the ship defeating the enemies. A helmeted Bo-Katan reaches her hand down to help Din out of the water while another one goes to rescue Grogu. While Din is thanking them for saving his and Grogu's lives, the three Mandalorians remove their helmets. Being from a strict Mandalorian sect that forbids removing helmets, Din asks the Bo-Katan where she got got her armor and accuses her of not being a Mandalorian. She introduces herself and says that her armor has been in her family for generations and she is the last of her line. She then informs Din that his sect of Mandalorians, are a cult called the "Children of the Watch." Din takes Grogu and flies off. Later, Bo-Katan, Axe Woves, and Koska Reeves come to the aid of Din when the brother of the now dead captain threatens to kill him. Afterwards, Bo-Katan recruits Din to help raid a cargo ship for weapons to help re-take Mandalore by getting rid of imperial remnants. She promises to tell him the location of a jedi in return for his help. The team fights through storm troopers to get to the cargo area. While there, Bo-Katan changes the plan and decides that they are going to take the entire ship. This causes a tense reaction between Din and Bo because he never agreed to that plan. She reveals that she needs to get the darksaber so she can once again lead Mandalore. Din then tells her that she is "changing the terms of the deal" and Bo-Katan tells him "this is the way" as she walks away from him. The captain of the ship starts to purposefully crash it on Gideon's orders. Din, Bo-Katan, Koska, and Axe fight their way to the bridge and take control of the ship. After the mission, Bo-Katan suggests that Din should stay and help them retake Mandalore but Din wants to fulfill his obligation to take Grogu to the Jedi. Bo-Katan then tells him where Ahsoka Tano is located.
The Rescue[]
Din recruits Bo-Katan and Koska Reeves to help him rescue Grogu from Moff Gideon. Bo-Katan was concerned when Din said Grogu was captured but then she sounded defeated when she knew Gideon had him. She then agrees to help Din rescue Grogu as long as she has the chance to reclaim the darksaber from Gideon to unite Mandalore. They formulate a plan alongside Cara Dune, Fennec Shand, and Dr. Pershing. Bo-Katan suggests they split into teams but Din insists on going alone. After dueling Gideon, Din wins the darksaber. He takes Grogu and Gideon to the bridge of the light cruiser. Din goes to hand the darksaber back to Bo-Katan not knowing that it can only be won in battle. Bo-Katan refuses to take it and is upset knowing that Gideon played her again. She is later present when Luke Skywalker arrives to take Grogu with him to train. On-screen, she only saw the back of Din's head when he removed his helmet to say goodbye to Grogu.
Season 3[]
The Apostate[]
Towards the end of the episode, Din and Grogu travel to Kalevala to join Bo-Katan on her quest to retake Mandalore. They walk into castle Kryze and Din introduces himself by name while doing so. Bo-Katan is laying on her throne in a depressed state. She tells Din that there is nothing to retake. Her entire fleet left her when she failed to retake the darksaber. She asked where the Children of the Watch were during the Purge calling them a cult. She tells him to leave and go home. Din then tells her of his plans to be redeemed in the living waters to atone for removing his helmet to say goodbye to Grogu before he went off to train with Luke. Bo-Katan tells him that the planet is cursed and Din calls her out on it because she previously said the planet was not cursed. Bo-Katan gives him directions to the mines and he walks off as she then mutters "goodbye Din Djarin."
The Mines of Mandalore[]
On his way to be redeemed in the living waters, Din is captured by a cyborg creature. He tells Grogu to get to Bo-Katan to help save him. Bo-Katan sees the N1 flying back to her castle and is angry because she wants Din to leave her alone. She sees that Grogu is alone and immediately concerned as to what happened to Din. On their way to finding Din in the mines, Bo-Katan tries to comfort Grogu by giving him a history of Mandalore and her friendship with the Jedi. She slowly pushes his pram away to safety before fighting the cyborg who has trapped Din using the darksaber. When Din finally comes to, Bo-Katan and Grogu are by the fire. Bo tells Din that she saved his life and hands him a cup of pog soup. She talks about how ironic that it is that he is a mandalorian and hasn't ever had pog soup since it is a staple of their culture. She then suggests that they go back to her ship and Din tells her that he has to go to redeem himself in the living waters first. She offers to accompany him. Along the way, Bo-Katan talks to Din about how she was in the royal family and talks about her father. Din then says that her father sounds like and interesting man and he wishes he could have know him. Bo-Katan says that he was a great man and died defending Mandalore. Din turns to her and offers his sympathy saying "this is the way" while his voice cracks with emotion. Bo-Katan is visibly touched. When Grogu notices that she is vulnerable, she turns to him and asks him what is he looking at? The three of them reach the living waters and Bo gives them a history of it while Din begins to prepare to enter the waters. As he recites the creed, Bo-Katan has an amazed look on her face. Din slips into a deep part of the water and Bo-Katan immediately jumps in to save him. On her way back up to the surface, she sees the mythosaur while Din is passed out. The episode ends with them safely making it up to the surface.
The Convert[]
When Din wakes up by the living waters, Bo-Katan asks him if he has seen anything in the waters. He says no and she drops the subject wanting to leave the mines. On her ship, Din thanks her and says he is in her debt. She then jokes that she would invite him in for a feast but she knows his helmet isn't coming off anytime soon. They exchange saying "this is the way" and then Grogu attempts to say it also. Suddenly, they are attacked by a squadron of tie fighters. Din gets down to his N1 and he and Bo-Katan fight them off quickly. When they seem like they are in the clear, Bo-Katan invites him back to get his ship checked even though it doesn't have a scratch on it. As they head back, castle Kryze is destroyed by a second round of tie fighters. Din then gives Bo the coordinates to the covert so they get to safety. When they get to the covert, Din suggests that Bo keep her helmet on so things go smoothly. Bo-Katan backs Din up when he tells the Armorer that he has bathed in the living waters. The Armorer declares that Din has been redeemed and Bo-Katan as well since she also bathed in the water and hasn't removed her helmet since.
The Foundling[]
Din enters Grogu into combat training against Paz Vizla's son Ragnar. Bo-Katan approaches Din and asks him if it is a good idea since Grogu is tiny. Din tells Bo to trust him and that Grogu will be fine. Ragnar chooses to have them "duel" using training darts which is the equivalent to paint ball. Bo-Katan leans down and staps the darts to Grogu's arm and encourages him by saying that his father is proud of him and to take it easy on Ragnar. Din then instructs Grogu as to how to shoot darts and Bo is shocked that Grogu never learned to shoot them before. Din tells her to trust him. When Grogu uses the force to win the "duel," Bo asks Din if Grogu learned it from him and Din says he did not. They both look at Grogu proudly. When Ragnar is taken by the raptor, Bo leads the team to go rescue him. Without hesitation, Din is the first to offer to join her. Together, Bo-Katan and Din take out the raptor saving Ragnar.
The Pirate[]
Carson Teva tracks down the location of the covert with the help of R5 to recruit Din to help Nevarro fight off Gorian Shard and his band of pirates that invaded the planet. Bo-Katan walks over to Din and asks him about his conversation with Teva. Din tells her he has to help due to his friendship with High Magistrate Greef Karga. She then tells him that he cannot do it alone. Din gives an inspiring speech in the cave to the covert telling then how Karga offered him a plot of land and he tells the covert that they can stop living in the shadows and make Nevarro their home if they help. He then goes and sits next to Bo-Katan and leans against her. Paz Vizla then gives a speech that inspires the covert to help Din and Bo. The covert goes to Nevarro and are successful at beating the pirates. Together, Din and Bo-Katan take out Gorian Shard's ship winning the battle. At the end of the episode, the Armorer tells Bo-Katan to take off her helmet as she is the chosen one to unite Mandalore because she saw the mythosaur. They walk out into the covert and Bo looks nervously at Din and Grogu. Paz also looks towards Din to see if he is okay. Din gives a nod of approval. The Armorer says that Bo-Katan now has to leave and unite all Mandalorians.
Guns for Hire[]
Din and Grogu accompany Bo-Katan to Plazir 15 on her mission to try to reclaim her fleet from Axe Woves. On the ship, Grogu parks his pram next to Bo-Katan and gives a happy squeal towards her when she mentions that their ship was diverted and they are going on a ride. After departing their ship, the three of them walk into a banquet hall where they meet the Duchess and Captain Bombardier. They enlist Din and Bo-Katan's help trying to find the rogue battle droids plaguing the planet. Grogu stays with the Duchess and Captain Bombardier while Din and Bo go on their mission. They first meet Commissioner Helgait where he gives them a synopsis of what the droids were meant to do and the problem with the rogue droids. Din and Bo head to the workshop of the ugnaughts to ask them about the rogue droids. Bo-Katan tries to talk to them with no luck. Din then steps in and gets through to the ugnaughts by mentioning his friendship with Kuiil. Bo-Katan looks impressed as Din takes charge with speaking to Ugnaughts which eventually results in them getting the disc with a information about the rogue droids. They head to the loading docks where Din starts to kick battle droids to find the rogue one. One of the rogue droids starts running away and Din and Bo chase him. Din falls and Bo shoots the droid defeating him. Bo grabs the spark pad that belongs to a droid bar called "The Resistor." They meet the bartender droid and question him about the rogue droid. The bartender droid claims he is innocent. They eventually come to the conclusion that Helgait is the one behind the rogue droids and they take him to The Duchess and Captain Bombardier. The Duchess gives them both the keys to Plazir-15. She then knights Grogu as Din and Bo-Katan proudly look on. On their way to reclaim the fleet, Din tries to reassure Bo-Katan that everything will be okay and they will listen to her. Din, Grogu, and Bo-Katan make the fleet where they meet Axe Woves. Bo-Katan challenges Axe and she untimately wins their fight. Axe calls Bo-Katan out on not wanting to challenge Din and that he is a zealot without a drop of Mandalorian blood. Bo-Katan sticks up for Din saying that he is just as much of a mandalorian as they are all. Din then uses the loophole of Bo-Katan saving him in the mines as a reason to give back the darksaber to her. He hands her the darksaber. He is next to Bo-Katan as she ignites it officially reclaiming her fleet.
The Spies[]
The NiteOwl fleet is flying to Nevarro to meet with the Children of the Watch. Din, Grogu, and Bo-Katan are on the Gauntlet. Grogu is sitting on Bo's lap and she and Din are talking about how hard it is to unite the two factions. The two tribes have a tense meeting and then the Armorer says they should throw a feast. When Bo-Katan asks for volunteers to be in the recon party when they get to Mandalore, Din is the first to volunteer himself and Grogu. Both of them stand while doing so. Once on Mandalore, a langskib approaches them. The leaders on the langskib fly over to Bo-Katan and swear allegiance to her. During a meeting that night, Bo-Katan opens up about the Night of a Thousand Tears and how she had to surrender to Gideon to try to save the rest of her people. They were outnumbered and Gideon promised not to hurt anyone else. He betrayed Bo-Katan and purged most of the other surviving Mandalorians. Feeling emotionally defeated, Bo-Katan stands at the bow of the langskib looking out onto the the calm water under the moonlight of Concordia. Din approaches her from behind and admits that the bad qualities that he was told about her were wrong. He understands why she had to take the actions she has. Bo insists that she was selfish and her actions are the reason that Mandalorians are divided. Din tells her that they will rebuild Mandalore and their culture. That Mandaloians have been on the brink of extinction and have always managed to survive. Still feeling defeated, Bo then insists that the darksaber is the only thing uniting their people. Din then tells her he only knows about the weapon because of what she told him. The darksaber, station, and bloodline means nothing to him or his people. He then goes on to list the qualities that Bo has that means the most to him which is honor, loyalty, and character with his voice breaking when saying the last quality. He serves her because of who she is as a person. Bo turns around looking at him with a stunned expression. He continues by saying that he will serve her until her song is written while putting his fist over his heart and bowing his head while inhaling deeply. He walks off and Bo stares at him with a smile on her face and renewed confidence. Later on, Axe and Paz get into a fight. Bo-Katan and Din are standing together and looking on. Din offers to intervene and Bo-Katan tells him not to. Grogu stops the fight in his IG-12 mech suit. Bo tells Din that he taught his apprentice well and he said that Grogu didn't learn it from him. Later on, Din is captured by Gideon's forces after he was separated from the rest of the Mandalorians by a glass door. Bo bangs on the window in complete panic as he is tied up and taken away.
The Return[]
After Din escapes being captured with Grogu's help, he contacts Bo-Katan to tell them and he and Grogu are safe. He also tells her he has to go defeat Gideon once and for all. Bo-Katan tells him to stay safe. Din is fighting Gideon while Grogu was locked in a room fighting the Praetorian guards. Bo flies in and kicks Gideon telling Din to go save his son. During the fight Gideon crushes the darksaber in Bo-Katan's hands telling her that Mandalorians are weak without their gadgets. Bo-Katan then tells him that Mandalorians are stronger together as Din and Grogu come in to help her. The three of them fight Gideon. When Axe Woves crashes a light cruiser striking the final blow against Gideon, Grogu uses the force to protect Din and Bo-Katan from the fire. After the battle, Bo-Katan is present at the living waters when Din formally adopts Grogu as his son. Din and Grogu are told by the Armorer that they have to leave Mandalore so Grogu can train. Bo-Katan has to stay behind to rule Mandalore separating them at the end of the season.

- When Bo asks Din what he thinks about going on a mission, Din says "you had me at battle droids" in a flirty way.

When Din and Bo met in The Heiress, it was considered a rare pair ship. The press leading up to season 3 insinuated that they would fight over the darksaber. Instead the fans soon realized that Din and Bo were inserted into a "will they or won't they?" dynamic. This is when the ship went from a rare pair to mainstream. Fans love the chemistry between the two characters and how their interactions seem very natural.
They have every reason to dislike each other following different Mandalorian creeds. Bo-Katan is a part of the royal family and loosely follows the creed. Din is a member of the Children of the Watch who follow the creed in a very strict way and he isn't allowed to remove his helmet. After initially insulting each other's "way," they have grown to respect their differences. Despite their differing ideologies, after Din won the darksaber, Bo refused to fight him, losing her fleet of The NiteOwls in the process. In The Book of Boba Fett, Din is challenged by Paz Vizla to fight for the darksaber with Paz believing that he should lead Mandalore due to his bloodline. Din defeats him to keep the darksaber which could insinuated that he believes that Bo is more worthy to lead even though she follows a different way. Din and Bo have showed each other that they are just as much of a Mandalorian despite the interpretation of the creed they follow. They went from reluctant allies to caring deeply about each other. Fans believe that there is a possibility of romantic feelings starting to form between them.
Din and Bo have strengths in an area where the other lacks. On missions, they can fight alongside each other seamlessly whether in the air or on ground. Bo-Katan was in a vulnerable state all season and Din was always there to reassure her whether it was with a nod or words of encouragement. On the other hand, they do bicker like an old married couple which is pretty on par for every Star Wars couple. They bicker a bit in Guns for Hire which shippers consider their first date. Bo-Katan has saved Din's life multiple times. Din saved Bo from her depression and helped her start to heal along with Grogu.
Throughout the season, Bo takes on a very motherly role with Din' son Grogu. This is a common trope called "winning over the kid." Grogu went from being a little weary of her in the beginning to sitting on her lap by the end of the season. She didn't need to tempt him with toys or food unlike the many friends that Grogu has collected along his adventures. There are many shots of Din and Bo with Grogu in the middle giving and they are framed like a family. A common theme in fanfics is Grogu trying to parent trap Din and Bo. As a family, they are known as "A Clan of 3," "The Royal Family," or "DinBoGro" in the fandom.
There are fan theories that Paz Vizla and Axe Woves think that Din and Bo are a couple. In "The Pirate," Paz refers to Din and Bo as "these two" when trying to encourage the covert to help Nevarro. Bo-Katan never petitioned with Din to help Nevarro to the covert. It is implied that they are a package deal. Paz also looks to see if Din is okay with the fact that the Armorer gave permission for Bo to remove her helmet. In Guns for Hire, Axe was giving off the energy of a jealous ex boyfriend when he and Bo were fighting each other. He called Bo out on not challenging Din and taking the darksaber from him, implying that there could be more to her relationship than what she admits. Both interactions play into the "everyone can see it" trope.
In the Spies, Din's pledge to Bo is framed exactly like a love confession. Katee Sackoff, the actress who plays Bo-Katan, called it their "Titanic Moment" and said "he loves her so much" when taking about how she ships them. Din's body double, Brendan Wayne, initiated an off take Keldabe Kiss while they were doing the scene. The off take kiss was a joke and not in the script.[1]
What separates the pledge from the other times Din has pledged to someone is that he is not doing it out of obligation to the creed. He is pledging to Bo-Katan for who she is as a person by listing the qualities that he admires her for while also comforting her at her lowest point. Despite being separated at the end of the season, fans of the ship do believe that they will find their way back to each other. Especially due to the fact that Din's cabin in Nevarro is only supposed to be a stop in between adventures with Grogu and not a permanent home.
