DinoBasket is the femslash ship between Bassie and Shelly from the Dandy's World fandom.
Canon[]
Bassie and Shelly are characters from Dandy's World. Both are main characters. They are also considered friends because they both share the status of main characters.
Bassie is a basket and a female Easter-event holiday Main Character Toon with the ability of picking up and dropping items whenever she wants. Additonally, she has four inventory slots. Shelly, on the other hand, is a shell and a female non-event Main Character Toon possessing the ability to temporarily boost another Toon's extraction speed. Unlike Bassie, Shelly only has three inventory slots.
In-game, Shelly's dialogues with Bassie and other Toons reveals that she has a fear of being alone and forgotten. Meanwhile, Bassie's dialogues with Shelly and other Toons (as well as lore-related notes found in the game) reveals that Bassie has a fear of being replaced for not being good enough. In their one and only current interaction, Bassie refers to Shelly by her name which makes her surprised. They then talk about how because they are mains they are friends, which makes Bassie nervously laugh.

Within the fandom, DinoBasket is often portrayed as a romantic relationship, especially in fanart and fanfics. Common fanon interpretations include slow-burn romance, mutual pining, and emotional support themes. Fans often highlight their contrasts — Bassie's shyness and Shelly’s courage because they complement each other well. In fanon, they are sometimes depicted going on cute dino-themed dates or protecting each other from danger.
The main apppeal to this ship comes from the fact that the two have a lot in common, specifically when it comes to their insecurities. Considering that Shelly has a fear of being forgotten and Bassie has a fear of not being wanted and living up to other's expectations, fans think the two would be able to help each other. People also like to point out that it seems that Bassie in their interaction tries to remember Shelly's name, which causes more people to think that they would be great together. This is nodding to the fact that Shelly is an easily forgettable toon, thus many fellow toons, including fellow mains, struggle to remember her that transcends just forgetting her name. Their similar internal conflict provokes fans into believing the two would be decently compatible.
There is another interpetation to their ship and how it might be toxic. Regarding the two's compatibility also comes a slightly unhealthy dynamic as many fans point out that they would be dependent on each other. Bassie would feel delighted that she lived up to the expectations for the first time as someone like Shelly would be able to make her feel wanted. This would make them feed each others insecurities as Bassie will want to feel like the other mains with Shelly reassuring her that she is one. On the other hand, Shelly doesn't want to be forgotten by others and Bassie would make her feel important.
Fan theories include the two bonding and eliminating their deepest fears together with each other's presence. Whether the ship is portrayed in a toxic light or not, their similarities are often the topic of fan content. Sometimes the two are also depicted in their other skins, like Shelly in her Dino Snore skin and Bassie in her Belle Basket skin.
