Plot[]

Doki Doki Literature Club![]

You, as the protagonist, are invited (forced) to become a member of the school literature club, where you meet a coterie of cute girls, those being the maiden of mystery, Yuri, the (cute on the outside) tsundere, Natsuki, and last but not least, the class star Monika. Will you write the way into their hearts? It's up to you! (or maybe it isn't?)

Trivia[]

In Japanese, doki-doki (ドキドキ) is the onomatopoeia for the heartbeat, which is often associated with the feeling of love, excitement, anxiousness, or fear. This can be understood as a purposely chosen ambiguity considering how the game turns from a normal romantic visual novel into a horror game.
