DonMick is the slash ship between Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse from the Mickey Mouse and Friends and Kingdom Hearts fandom.

Canon

Donald and Mickey have a very good friendship. While Donald does have the occasional spats with Mickey, he sees Mickey as his best friend and he can always go to him whenever he needs help with anything. Mickey of course has always been there for Donald whenever he needs him. He will stop at nothing to help Donald with his problems and he is the many people who can deal with Donald's temper (even if it is occasionally).

Mickey Mouse (2013)

Split Decision

In this episode, Mickey is so worried about Donald that he goes to Donald's uncle Ludwig Von Drake to use a machine to split Donald into two versions of himself: One that is calm and the other that is a rage monster. The calm Donald is actually very nice to Mickey and even gives him a hug but the angry one ends up causing havoc in town. Mickey regrets splitting Donald and chases after the angry version. Although he gets horribly injured, he's able to reunite the two halves and is happy to have his friend back to normal.

Duck the Halls

When Donald is about to leave south for the winter, Mickey convinces him to stay with him and the others for Christmas. However, as the night progresses, Donald gets up getting sick from the cold and Mickey becomes extremely worried for Donald and constantly offers to take him south, much to Donald's rejection. When Donald ends up going insane, Mickey and the others chase Donald around the town and even steal Santa's sleigh to get him to the south before he dies.

They crash land into the south and Mickey mourns over Donald's "death" until it is revealed that Donald is okay. Mickey apologizes for almost killing Donald when Donald is upset about missing Christmas morning. When Santa comes back to fixes everything, Donald and Mickey relax on the beach where Mickey asks Donald if his first Christmas was all he hoped for. Donald says no and it was even better than he imagine as the two clink glasses as the credits role.

DuckTales (2017)

When Donald is marooned on a deserted island during the show's second season, he constructs a friend out of three watermelons. The watermelon friend perfectly resembles Mickey Mouse. Donald performs a voice for the watermelons, provided by Chris Diamantopoulos, the voice actor for Mickey in the 2013 short series. His other family members seem frightened by the watermelons and Donald's reliance on it, and Della ends up kicking the melons into the sea. When Cousin Fethry and Gladstone Gander later arrive to rescue the Duck family from the island, Gladstone is seen eating the watermelons. He offers some to Donald, he looks on in shock and disgust. The character was named "Mikey Melon" by the creator of Ducktales.

Kingdom Hearts

Donald serves as King Mickey's royal knights, whom he is very loyal to. Donald, alongside Goofy and Sora, make sure to protect their king from the heartless. Donald exclusively refers to Mickey as "your majesty" in the series and always speaks highly of him. As for Mickey, he's always appreciative of Donald's help whether it's helping him seal the Kingdom Hearts so the heartless don't escape or using Zettaflare to protect him. When the later happens, he goes to check on Donald and protects him from the heartless.

Fanon

DonMick is the number one most popular slash ship in the Mickey Mouse fandom. It is the second most popular Donald and Mickey ship and is influenced by the amount of official merchandise made with Donald and Mickey together.

On AO3, DonMick is the 3rd most written ship in all Mickey Mouse related fandom categories. It's the second most written ship for both Donald and Mickey.

On Tumblr, most of the fanart is based on Donald and Mickey's appearence in A Goofy Movie where they make a brief cameo traveling to the Powerline concert. Since Mickey is not present in DuckTales (both the 1987 and 2017 series), fans have made AUs where Mickey is present and help Donald raise the triplets.
