Dorinari is the friendship between Dori and Tighnari from the Genshin Impact fandom.
Canon[]
The two aren't seen interacting with each other in real time, but they have history. The only time they acknowledge each other is through voice lines. They seem to have a mutual respect for each other, but Dori is clearly more interested in him than meets the eye. Once discovering that the latter is a gadgeteer genius, she saw an opportunity for a business partnership. She offered to mass produce his gadgets for profit, but instead of accepting he explained that his work is an impediment.
Though this might appear as a valuable reason, Dori knew it was nothing more than an excuse and expresses shame over his decline. Tighnari in contrast only mentions one instance of them crossing paths. He declared he worked on a past project that required extremely rare materials. In order to get them, he needed to get through Dori. He refuses to further discuss what he was researching, neither does Dori.
Dori is very aware of Tighnari's best friend, Cyno, also very well known as the General Mahamatra. She's wary of him, as seen in game events, she sells cans of knowledge, which is a prohibited item that can result in severe consequences.
Fanon[]
Their dynamic isn't intensely acknowledged as an endearing ship within the fandom. They're often seen in fanworks together that surround fanarts which often include other characters (I.e Collei or Cyno). The more rampant discussion involving them regard how well they work together as a party in-game. Dori is an Electro character, whereas Tighnari is Dendro. Because of this, Dori can serve as an enabler to Tighnari's Dendro that causes the Aggravate effect on opponents. This topic can be found on Reddit, a commonly used website/app when searching for answers.
On the accountant of a friendship rival for their own pairing, Tighlei easily overcomes them in numbers. This is due to Collei 's much more intimate relationship with Tighnari that blossomed into a familial perspective. They're often never shipped romantically because of Dori's very child-like design. Some may debate that she's a consenting adult due to her ability to run her own business and having the intelligence of a mature woman.
