Dortalie is the het ship between Dorcas and Natalie from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Dorcas and Natalie are from the same village in Bern. They married and were happy, but Natalie had a sickness affecting her leg since childhood. Dorcas decided to become a mercenary to pay her a treatment, much to Natalie's worries. Dorcas ends up hired by a group of bandits who abduct women and children to sell them as slaves. Dorcas is disgusted by the actions of this group, but since he still need money for his wife, he accepted the job. Natalie, who was worried for him, followed him in the same region and settled in some ruins. She met Lyndis's legion that was traveling to Lycia, and explains to them the situation. At the same time, they had been noticed by the bandit group joined by Dorcas who decide to capture Natalie. Dorcas, not knowing that the woman hidden in the ruin was is wife, is sent to capture her for his first mission. He meets Lyn who explain that the woman they are protecting is actually his wife, Dorcas decides to turn on the bandits.
After the battle, Natalie and Dorcas finally have a talk. Even if she is worried she accepts to let Dorcas joining the Lyndis legion in order to gain the money required for her treatment. Dorcas leaves to follow Lyndis's legion until its fight with Lundgren. After the end of this mission, Dorcas returned to his village and reunited with his wife, he then worked as a mercenary fighting bandits.
At some point the couple moved to Pherae. A year later, Dorcas is hired alongside Bartre by Eliwood to accompany him in his quest to find his father. After the conflict, Dorcas reunites with Natalie, and uses the money he earned to pay her treatment. As a result, she makes a quick recovery.
Fanon[]
The relationship between Dorcas and Nathalie is generally liked by players but not many fanworks are made for the ship. It can be explained by the fact that Natalie is a NPC who doesn't have much screetime. However the relationship is generally considered to be one of the best aspect of Dorcas's character since it gives him an understandable and quite unique reason to fight. It's basically the sole existing ship for the two characters.
They are often present as a background couple in fanfictions. The fanworks centered on their relationship is manly fluff depicting their happy married life. A rather popular headcanon in the fanbase is that Dorothy from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade is actually their daughter, since she has the same hair color as Natalie and can wield bows like Dorcas after his promotion. The ship is generally used as a reason to vote for Natalie in the Choose you Legend Survey so that Natalie can be added in Heroes and reunited with Dorcas in this game.

- In his support with Bartre it's revealed that Dorcas keeps a picture of Natalie with him. Heroes further reveals that Natalie drew it herself.
