Dotaro is the slash ship between Gyutaro and Doma from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Canon[]
Doma and Gyutaro first met after Ume was burnt from stabbing a samurai. Gyutaro was carrying her, looking for help. Doma approached Gyutaro and called him and his sister poor things. Gyutaro asks him to help him and his sister. To this Doma offers Gyutaro and Ume a chance to become demons. Gyutaro quickly accepts this offer. Doma then proceeds to turn him and ume into a demon. Doma then says to him that that he and his sister need to gain power to join and to become part of the upper ranks, Doma says this as a challenge for the two.
The two are eventually both part of the Twelve Kizuki. Gyutaro is upper rank 6 and Doma is upper rank 2. Gyutaro took on Doma’s rank from when the two first met.
It is possible that Doma and Gyutaro interacted with each other during previous upper rank meetings, although this was never confirmed.
In an upper rank meeting that was called regarding Gyutaro death. Doma feels responsible for Gyutaro and his sister's failure and apologizes to Muzan. Doma mainly apologized since he was one to introduce Gyutaro to the ranks.
Fanon[]
Dotaro is a rare pair in the fandom. This is due to them not sharing many interactions on screen together, after Gyutaro turned into a demon. Despite their lack of interaction shown, people that have interacted with each other in previously called upper rank meetings. Others also think that the two could maybe have been friends. Despite their lack of interaction between the two, this pairing still has a small fanbase.
Fans of this pairing have created stories where Gyutaro and Doma would meet, either both as demon or as human, and would become a couple. Gyutaro and Doma would then also both take care of Daki.
