DouKana is the het ship between Doma and Kanae Kocho from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Canon[]
The two met prior to the beginning of the story. When they met they faced off against each other. At this time Kanae was a Hashira and Doma an Upper rank. Their battle is not shown, however, it was said that it lasted until dawn. Due to the fact that it was already dawn, thus the sun rising, Doma fled and left a dying Kanae behind.
During Doma’s battle against Shinobu, she held on to her haori and said that he killed her sister and demanded if he had no memories of the haori. Shortly after, Doma remembers Kanae as a girl who uses flower breathing and that Kanae was a kind and cute girl. He then stated that he found the outcome of his battle with Kanae disappointing, since he was not able to consume her.
It was later revealed that Kanae was able to tell that Doma was not capable of experiencing human emotions. Because of this Kanae, despite being gravely injured by Doma, pitied him for his inability to feel emotions.
Fanon[]
DouKana is largely unknown in the fandom. One reason for this is due to their lack of screen time together. Another reason is that this pairing is not well liked by a majority of people, since Doma killed Kanae. On the other hand there are some people that like this pairing. Since they find it interesting what Doma said about Kanae and the fact that Kanae pities Doma. With some building further on this and the rest of the information that is known about their interaction.
DouKana easily gets overshadowed by more popular pairings for the two of them. For Doma being his ship with Kotoha and his ship with Shinobu. While for Kanae being her ship with Sanemi.
