While their lore does not feature extensive direct interaction, in-game voice lines reveal layered dynamics between them. Both characters carry personal stakes in Clarion Corp's experiments—each with a family member deeply entangled in the organization’s questionable pursuits. Nao’s adoptive father, in particular, suffered devastating consequences, reduced to little more than a husk of his former self. These personal losses fuel their individual motives, shaping their willingness to make sacrifices and navigate morally gray territory to achieve their goals.
Though they harbor resentment toward Rasmus, both remain loyal to him. Their dynamic is further highlighted by the subtle exchanges woven into their voice lines, hinting at an underlying history. One particularly notable interaction reveals that Nao crafted Kazan’s signature umbrella, asking whether he enjoys using it. This detail alone suggests a level of personal involvement and care beneath Nao’s otherwise detached persona.
