Season 5[]

ABANDON ALL HOPE

Sam and Dean cut the power at Crowley's place, and he walks out to see the two there. He says it's about time they found him, and calls them the Hardy Boys. He notices a crinkle in the rug and lifts it up to see the Devil's Trap beneath it. He asks them if they have any idea how much the rug costs and two of his goons show up behind them and hold them. He pulls out the Colt and seems to be about to shoot Sam and Dean, before shooting the two demons behind them. Sam and Dean are shocked, and Crowley says that they need to talk privately.

They follow him into a separate room and Dean asks what's going on. Crowley says that the only reason they know about the colt is because he sent it along the grapevine, and Sam asks why. Crowley point the Colt at Dean. Crowley tells them that he wants them to shoot Lucifer, and Dean asks why. Crowley explains that Lucifer isn't a demon, but an angel who hates humanity and sees demon's as his servants and are probably next after humanity on his kill list. Crowley just wants things back to before, and asks if they'll take it to kill Lucifer. Sam hesitantly takes the gun, and asks if Crowley knows where Lucifer is. Crowley tells him where, and Sam points the gun at Crowley and fires, but there's no bullet. Dean and Sam are shocked that the Colt didn't work on Crowley. Crowley realizes that they need more ammunition and goes to get some. Dean asks if Crowley is signing his own death warrant, given that Lucifer will come after him if they lose. Crowley tells him that they're all dead if they lose, that he's going on a vacation once they leave, and NOT TO MISS. He throws them the bullets and disappears.

Season 9[]

Dean takes on the Mark of Cain in order to kill Abaddon, which will benefit Crowley greatly, which the Winchesters are doing because Crowley is a devil they know, and Abaddon is a devil they don't. When Metatron kills him in Do You Believe In Miracles, Crowley lays him down with the First Blade in his hand. The final shot of the season is Dean opening his eyes to reveal they are now demon black.

Season 10[]

Dean, now a demon, is hanging out with Crowley. They drink together in a bar of Dean's choosing, and Dean has lots of casual sex. Crowley references that they've "done extraordinary things to triplets" together, implying group sex. Crowley is frustrated by Dean's refusal to do much demonic activity beyond being a dick to women. Dean agrees to do Crowley's demonic bidding, and kill a man's wife. Dean goes rouge however, and kills the man instead, which annoys Crowley immensely. Dean is captured and cured by Castiel and Sam. Crowley's court in hell seem bothered by his focus on Dean and neglect of them, though some want to take Dean's place as Crowley's bestie after Dean is cured.

In the season finale Brother's Keeper, there were several cut lines alluding to Crowley's feelings for Dean. While talking to Castiel, Rowena remarks that her son (Crowley) "suffers from the same malady as you, I’m afraid.  Winchester Derangement Syndrome.” Given that Castiel was later confirmed to be romantically in love with Dean, the comparison feels significant. In the same conversation, Rowena also said “The King of Hell.  An Angel of the Lord.  More power than I could possibly dream of.  Utterly wasted, shattered, at the altar of Winchester." Her character is largely motivated by a desire for power, while Crowley and Cas both give up and loose access to significant power in favor of the Winchesters, usually Dean, and their choices bother her. Both lines were cut, but indicate an awareness in the writers room that Crowley and Dean's relationship can be interpreted as romantic from Crowley's side.
