EddTord is the slash ship between Edd and Tord from Eddsworld fandom.
Canon[]
Classic Era[]
Tord was first introduced in Christmas special (2004) trying to shake open a present while Edd sets up an angel on top of their christmas tree next to Tord. About 20 seconds later they walk into eachother in the Eddsworld Studio's hallway after Tord had walked away from Bob. Edd asks him to remind Tom to take out the firewood out of the fireplace, which he agrees to. Tom ends up forgetting to take out the firewood out of the fireplace, leading to Santa breaking his foot on the firewood as the two boys goes downstairs to check what happened. By the end of the episode they all get their presents, Edd with his Army of darkness gloves and Tord with his Maniac Mansion 2004 special edition.
In Christmas Special (2005) when Edd is thrown into a reality where he never existed, it is shown that without Edd around to nag him about his drawings Tord would have become a successful comic strip artist and gets the twice the babes he got before, It's also shown that he became a full communist and almost took over a part of Norway. Since Edd doesn't exist in this universe, Tord never ends up liking coca cola due to the sales plummeting, causing all the factories shutting down due to Edd not being there to buy them.
In Zombeh Attack 2, Edd is shown to be crying at Tord's funeral with three other people there, one of them being Tom. As Edd was the last one left at Tord's grave he puts down Tord's fork and a spoon he had used to battle in the first episode of Zombeh Attack. Shortly after Edd leaves, lightning strikes Tord's spoon and fork which causes Tord to rise from his grave, making his way to Edd's house. Edd is seen to be resting before being awoken by Tord calling out his full name, telling him to let him in which Edd responds to saying it's impossible and that he's dead. Tord continues to call his name before Edd tells him to cut it out, he then proceeds get into Edd's car to let him in leading to Edd having to agree to letting him in, Tord happily walks in while Edd seems irritated at him. Tord then explains that he needs his help to find the Necronomicon in order to free his spirit from the Zombeh curse, Edd questions why he needs specifically his help as he crosses his arms with a furrowed brow and a frown before Tord replies with saying that he'll eat his brains if he don't, which then again he agrees to. The two gets in Edd's car but Tord however accidentally tears one of his legs off by slamming the car door on it, letting out a weak scream as Edd gives him an unimpressed look.
In Halloween Special (2007) Edd and Tord are seated in the middle playing video games while Matt stares at the tv in boredom and Tom reading the SKA weekly newspaper. A moment later the gang gets attacked by a hockey masked serial killer, as the 4 ran away screaming. Edd ends up dying first while Tord dies shortly after Tom.
Legacy Era[]
When Tord returns in The end (Part 1) Edd greets him with a hug, putting his arm over the red one as Matt walks up to them, not minding Tord's visit before going on to ask him who he is. The 4 goes back and forth on how Tord used to live here before having a flashback, where Tord throws his stuff into the back of his car while being mildly shown to be upset to leave. Matt speaks on how they'll never forget him or his memory eraser gun before accidentally shooting himself with it, wiping away most of his memories. Edd comments on about how he can't believe that Tord is leaving which Tord responds with how he needs to follow his dream, waving goodbye to the clueless Matt and a visibly upset Edd before hitting Tom with his car and driving off to the big city. Right after the flashback ends Tord questions the disappearance of the chairs as Edd responds with saying that Tom sold them to a pirate, Tord claims to not worry and throws out an invention he made, which turns into a sofa. When the 3 goes upstairs Tord claims that he's upset for missing all of the many adventures the gang participated on while he was away and wished that he could have been there, so Edd decides that they should redo them, this time with Tord being part of it. After Tom's outburst, Edd questions if he should go after him which Tord immediately turns down by telling him to not worry and that they have plently of catching up to do.

Fanon[]
A very popular headcanon that was came up by Eddtord fans is that Tord was expecting Edd to kiss him when he went to hug him in The end (part 1) since he only stopped smiling once Edd's face went past his, despite the fact the other guy having his arms extended the whole time. Eddtord currently has 400+ fanfictions on AO3 and about 38.8K results on Wattpad.
Eddtord's popularity increased slowly over the years until recently into 2024 their popularity has seemed to increase rapidly by a large amount, beating TomTord in a twitter poll with a 0.6% difference.[citation needed]
