Edelthea is the femslash ship between Edelgard von Hresvelg and Dorothea Arnault from the Fire Emblem fandom.

Three Houses[]
Edelgard and Dorothea are both students the Garreg Mach Monaster's Officers Academy and members of the Black Eagles. In their first support conversation Dorothea catches Edelgard deep in thought. They talk about Edelgard's intention to abolish the nobility system and only have those who are capable and willing in important roles, regardless if they are of noble or common birth. Dorothea agrees with Edelgard plans and thinks that Edelgard sometimes seems like she's a character in an opera. Dorothea then sings an impromptu song about Edelgard, much to her embarrassment.
In a later conversation Dorothea is happily humming her song about Edelgard when Edelgard asks what has her in such a good mood. Dorothea tells her that a date of hers has been going well and Edelgard congratulates her but laments that she has no good advice for Dorothea as romance is not her strong suit. While talking about Edelgard's love life, she notes that while she isn't disinterested in romance, she is merely very busy and doesn't have time to spare. Edelgard ultimately feels she'll never have a grand romance, which Dorothea quickly disagrees about. Dorothea tells her that anything could happen in the future, including something between the both of them. Edelgard becomes happy at the possibility of such a future between them.
During the War Phase, Edelgard wonders why Dorothea has become disinterested in her suitors. Dorothea avoids answering at first and tells Edelgard that whenever she's around her she doesn't worry about her love life anyway. After Edelgard continues to push for a reason, Dorothea threatens to write an opera about her and sing it right there. While Edelgard relents, Dorothea still considers writing an opera after the war, noting that she will play Edelgard. However, Edelgard tells Dorothea that she can't play her because Dorothea would have to play herself, as no story about Edelgard would be complete without her.
In their paired ending Dorothea does go on to make an opera about Edelgard, which she initially forbades Dorothea from staging. She later rescinds the decree after seeing Dorothea's passionate performance and always sets aside time to see it thereafter.

Edelthea is a fairly common ship in the Three Houses fandom. Shippers are often drawn in by the mutual attraction they share in their second support conversation, which is further backed by them being two of the five characters who are canonically attracted to both men and women. On AO3 it is the second most written for ship for both Edelgard and Dorothea.
