Electronents is the poly ship between Electra, Joule, Krupp, Purse, Killerwatt, Wrench and Volta from the Starlight Express fandom.

Wembley Park Theatre[]
Control gets word that a new chalenger is coming in as a late entry to the race. Wrench then comes forward and announces herself as Electa's repair truck, with several trains questioning who that is. Killerwatt then comes forward and says that they should all switch to Electa's side, followed by Joule their dynamite truck and Volta, the freezer truck. The four then start to hype up how rich, hot and cool Electra is, when they make their appearance. The components the sing back up for Electra as they explain who they are and that they are the future of engine's. All five however leave momentarily when Greaseball appears.
Killerwatt, Volta, Joule and Wrench return, watching Greaseball from above, where Electra eventually joins them. As Greaseball starts to insult Electra, the components stand between her and them. Racing down to scatter Greaseball as Electra declares their intent to race and win against the diesel train. The components then go to meet Pearl, as Electra watches from above. Killerwatt asks Pearl to be Electra's partner for the heat, as the others keep anyone from interrupting them. Pearl says she'll let them know, and the components leave to go back to Electra.
After mama wins her heat, Electra leads their components down to the main track and demands to know what all the noise is. Pearl then comes to join them and Rusty announces that he'll be taking mama's place in the finals. Electra and their components laugh at this, with Electra leading them in calling Rusty a laughing stock. They then turn the components around and the five skate off.
When all the trains gather to hype up for the big race, Joule, Killerwatt, Volta and Wrench come forward and state that Electra will be the one to win, while the diesel engine's believe it to be Greaseball. Electra then taunts Greaseball over her choice of partner which the components laugh at. They then follow Electra off when it's time for them to pick a new partner. Greaseball then picks Pearl over Dinah, and Electra has the components go ask Dinah to be their race partner instead. With them leading Dinah back to them when she says yes. They then join Electra when they go to meet Slick who tells them of their plan to wipe out Rusty. The components tell her that she'll have an awful lot to prove before they follow Electra off.
Dinah then leaves Electra shortly before the final race, pushing away them and their components. Electra then turns to Slick and asks her to race with them, which she'll do for a price. Electra then has Wrench and Killerwatt pay her while Joule and Volta stand guard. They then all follow them to get to the last race. Killerwatt fueling Electra up as the other components stay at the side. Only moving when Rusty arrives and their all shocked at him joining the race again. Joule, Volta, Wrench and Killerwatt then get to the side of the tracks and watch Electra as they compete in the last race.
Electra ends up loosing and them and the components go with the others for Rusty's celebration ceremony. There, Momma suggest that Greaseball could be converted to steam. Electra asks if they could be converted as well, but their components seem against the idea. With them gesturing to Electra not to go through with it.

Electronents is a rather popular ship in the StEx fandom. With some fans believing that Electra isn't just in charge of the components, but also in a relationship with them. This interpretation comes from most of the focus of StEx being on the romantic lives of trains, with every canon pair being between an engine and a coach. Which leads to many reading all Coach and Engine relationships as romantic. As Electra has multiple coaches, it's very easy to come to the conclusion that they are all in a relationship. As well as them possibly adding in another car based on who Electra picks to race with them. Though this can lead to the idea that the components get a say in who Electra gets to race with outside of just them.
Which components are used is dependent on fans. As some only like to ship Electra with the original five, while others ship based on the more recent productions, which replaced Purse and Krupp with Killerwatt. Overall is dependent on which version fans prefer. Though some due try and keep all six components, and have Electra have six partners. Shipping between the components is also common, as fans believe they wouldn't just be in a relationship with Electra, but also each other. Though they'd be more likely to be with just each other and Electra.
On AO3, Electronents is the most written ship for the components, and the third most written for Electra. It is also the ninth most written ship in the Starlight Express tag. There are currently 30+ written works.
