Emicole is the femslash ship between Emily and Nicole from the Class of '09 fandom.
Canon[]
Upon Emily trying to convince Nicole to skip school to pick up her prescription, she tells her Nicole that she wants to "go with someone cool." Following this, Nicole questions Emily if she is hitting on her. Emily swears she isn't, as she has a boyfriend, though she doesn't really love him that much at all. Nicole finds it "hot" that Emily chipped the AC vents in her car by using them as bottle openers, while telling her that she is "like Avril Lavigne if she never got famous." If Nicole chooses to skip with Emily, they immediately hit it off, working together to mess with their fellow classmates such as Crispin, Jeffery and Karen.
Once Nicole comes home from the mall, her mother scolds her for coming home so late, with Emily asking if she should leave. Nicole tells her no, and says that she can stay and hang out. Nicole's mom scolds her yet again, and Emily immediately jumps to Nicole's defense. Emily continues arguing with Nicole's mom, and her mom tells Nicole she doesn't want her to hang out with Emily anymore. Emily tells Nicole's mom that Nicole can hang out with whoever she wants to, and tells her to shut up. Emily manages to scare Nicole's mom away, feeling relief as she wishes she could say the same things to her own mother. Emily tells Nicole that hanging out with her was the best day of her life, and that arguing with her mother made it even better. Nicole tells Emily that she is cool, and asks to hang out again some other time. Emily asks to spend the night, and Nicole agrees to let her. Emily tells Nicole that she doesn't want her own mother to control her anymore, and that she doesn't want Nicole's mom to control her either.
Emily asks her teacher if she can work together with Nicole on a project, which was originally meant to be done solo, and are given permission to. Nicole, on the way to the bathroom with Emily, calls what she did "spontaneous," in which Emily thinks Nicole is talking down to her. Nicole explains her usage of the word, and Emily realizes that Nicole was right, and tells her that she loves her. Nicole then tells Emily that she loves her as well. The two then go to Jecka to ask if she has any cigarettes. After Emily leaves to retrieve a cigarette from Jecka's locker, Nicole asks "isn't she so great?" about her. Jecka asks why Nicole is even hanging out with Emily, telling her all of the things Emily has done. Nicole tells her that what Emily has done makes her "fun." Jecka tells Nicole that Emily will get "weirdly attached" to her and that she will get really upset once she gets tired of her. Nicole tells Jecka that she isn't tired of Emily yet, and that she will wait and see for what will happen next between them. Kelly tells Nicole that Emily choked her in gym class, and Nicole defends Emily, telling her "a girl can be confident," and that whatever Emily did was a "you problem."
The scene then cuts to Nicole and Emily in Nicole's room, in their sleepwear. Emily questions where Nicole's mother has been, to which Nicole tells her that she thinks her mom is scared of her. Emily is glad, because she doesn't like how Nicole's mother talks to her, and calls Nicole "really cool and smart," and that she "should be treated as such." This flusters Nicole, as she forgot how to take compliments due to being used to turning down guys'. Emily tells Nicole not to worry about it, though, as the two are friends. Nicole asks Emily if she's trying to sleep with her, in which Emily tells her that she doesn't really want to. Emily asks Nicole if her mother ever compliments her, and that her mother never compliments her because she "can't appreciate what she has." Emily tells Nicole that if her mother snaps at her again, she will "rip her beating heart out," and hand it to her "on a silver platter." Nicole keeps questioning Emily if she wants to sleep with her or not, in which Emily denies again. Emily asks what Nicole would do for her in a similar scenario, such as her boyfriend cheating on her, in which Nicole tells her that she'd kill him. Emily then starts a suicide pact with Nicole, planning to overdose with her for their school project to mess with their teacher. Nicole is hesitant about it, in which Emily is offended by. Startled, Nicole ends up accepting the deal anyway. Emily then tells her how much she loves Nicole, telling her that she'd kill someone if Nicole told her to. After turning the lights off and getting into bed with Emily, Emily asks Nicole if she's going to kiss her goodnight or not. Nicole kisses her, and Emily tells her that she loves her, asking Nicole if she's going to say it back.
After the two finally give their presentation, the two finally go through with their plan of overdosing. It then cuts to Nicole's narration, where she says that she found it "humbling" that Emily said "the most thoughtful thing she's ever heard in years." Nicole then goes over how jealous she is of Emily, being more "deep," "misunderstood," and overall more unhinged than her, planning stuff like a suicide pact. Nicole realizes that she can't compete with the likes of Emily, and to just accept that "there's always gonna be a hotter bitch than you."
The player can then read a message sent from Emily to Nicole. In the message, Emily tells her that she is glad that Nicole is the one she's dying with, and that she can't think of anyone else she would want to do it with. She admits that she is "super fucking gay" for Nicole, and apologizes for lying beforehand. She tells Nicole that she can feel fulfilled "dying together with another girl," as it is a bigger commitment than anything else that she could've done. The last thing Emily says in the message is that if Nicole passes out before she does, she'd try to fall over onto her so that it'd look like they're cuddling.

Fanon[]
The ship gained popularity due to Emily's canonical attraction to Nicole, as well as Nicole's feelings towards Emily. Many like to classify their dynamic as "toxic," which enjoyers of the pairing like about them. As the fandom is still growing, there aren't that many fanfics or fanworks made of the two. The ship is rivaled by Jeckole, and sometimes Aricole, but mainly the former as it is the most popular ship in the fandom.
