Emizato is the femslash ship between Ichi Mezato and Emi from the Mob Psycho 100 fandom.
Canon[]
Both are students at Salt Middle School, possibly from different classes, although no clear detail is revealed about it. It's unknown if they've ever met right after Emi did with Mob, or even before, but what is actually true is that Emi has seen Mezato once in canon. The only moment they share in the anime isn't direct, however once Emi approaches Mob after seeing him talk to Tsubomi, Tome, and Mezato in the same day to tease him about how many girls he's been talking to lately. Her playful remarks make Mob get carried away in fantasies of being popular and having random girls on the street eye him up. Emi's never seen again on-screen after this moment.
Fanon[]
Like many other femslash ships in the fandom, Emizato is a rarepair inside Mob Psycho 100. Since both hadn't had any real interaction, there's not much information about the ship's origins. However, people like to pair them because they'd make a good match being Writer and Journalist respectively; they could help each other out with their own roles. Although the lack of content, there is still a good amount of fan fictions on AO3 and artworks in Tumblr. As the lack of other characters to ship both girls with, they end up being paired together because of the numerous tropes inside it.
Since both characters have minor appearances, especially Emi, who had just shown up a few times, it's rather a Pair the Spares ship, which means pairing two leftover characters getting hooked up with whoever is left in a specific cast. One of the most relevant fanon content of Emizato is the "The Accelerated Velocity of Terminological Inexactitude" fan fiction (a Teruki/Mob fan work), which both have significant interactions near the end of the story, of course as a minor pairing, in which Mezato asks Emi for help with prose. Later, they'd hold hands as Emi's condition for assisting Mezato as they went with Reigen and Dimple to a ramen shop as the former's treat.
Even if it remains a rarepair, with no chance on being popular (at least not as much as TsuMob or MezaMob), it's likely that, throughout the manga or other future releases related to the series, they might have at least some interactions. Since both girls tend to be paired with Mob, either platonically or romantically, Emi/Mezato kind-of stands out with both being close especially to him, and how similar their likings could be. Currently, there are 8 works created on AO3 romantically and one platonically for them. It rivals MezaMob and EmiMob, but it's however overshadowed by those. It's shipped along with pairings like Terumob, TsuTome, Serirei, etc., the chances of any Emi/Mezato art emerging along with any of the ships mentioned are very low nonetheless.
