Emizi is the femslash ship between Emily and Uzi Doorman from the Murder Drones fandom.
Canon[]
Uzi and Emily are peers in the Worker Drone colony, Outpost 3. Like the collective opinions of the student body, Emily is wary and easily freaked out by Uzi Doorman. Her uneasiness makes her jump at the sight of her, which upsets and saddens Uzi for her infamous status.
Cabin Fever[]
Uzi and Emily are taken on a class trip to a campsite underneath the influence of Uzi. When Emily finally notices Uzi is with them, she, including the group, jumps back and does a cutthroat gesture with her finger. With the plan to investigate the abandoned cabins from a lab that used to take place there, Serial Designation V and N are brought along as camp counselors. When they arrive Emily and the others are terrified of the murderous duo. Thad and Lizzy had made amends with the Disassembly Drones before the trip; thus they try to convince their peers to rely their trust in them.
When they were still anxious, Uzi announces she's friends with the Murder Drones, too, with a bashful expression. Emily is immediately convinced to console N and V out of pity for them. Uzi finds the opportunity to leave the campsite to pursue her investigation. From an abandoned cabin she looks down on Emily and her group frolicking on the ice, "canoeing". She notices how well and easily N and V are getting along with them when she can't herself.
For the first time, she becomes jealous of the Disassembly Drones. Continuing her analysis, she eventually returns to the campsite where her peers are participating in archery. N unintentionally calls her out, destroying her hiding position. All of the attention is turned on her, and as expected, everyone jumps back. Braidon accidentally launches an arrow towards her with his trigger finger.
Panicking, Uzi's reflexes initiated her Solver to not only stop the unplanned attack, but transform it into a gross, writhing mass. Emily and the others witness it with pure horror etched on their faces. Terrified of herself, she bolts into the woods. Her unexpected impending transition sparked a heated argument between N and V for their different solutions to her problem. As N heads out to find and console Uzi, V abrasively tells the class to do whatever they wanted, the intent of murdering Uzi on her mind as she heads off.
Subsequently the campers perch around a campfire. Emily takes note of how Rebecca and Darren headed out for an "immoral make out" in the woods. She wonders why they are gone for so long, and as if on cue, Rebecca's disembodied upper half crawls towards her peers. Rebecca feebly attempts to describe Uzi's features to try to warn them of her grotesque transformation that did this to her. Emily and the others, regardless of the detailed hints given, still fail to remember her.
Suddenly, a giggling Uzi appears in the distance, completely Solver possessed. She engages in a massacre against her peers and forces them to flee for their lives. Sam suggests everyone split up and Emily agrees since she read about the false strategy in her books. The plan ultimately gets her captured off-screen by Uzi. Lizzy finds Emily soullessly waving at her from a distance.
It doesn't take long to notice that something was off with her stiff movements; Uzi utilized Emily to distract Lizzy before beheading the bespectacled drone.
Fanon[]
Emizi is a rarepair but well known within the fandom. It's the most popular ship for Emily with only 8 romantic works on AO3. Through the research of fan content, some fans come to enjoy it for its rarepair properties. The ship's Opposites Attract trope is a major point of endearment from fans. The dynamic they have is best described as a "goth x nerd" relationship.
A popular AU between them has Emily as an infected drone alongside Uzi. In other interpretations on how she becomes one resides in vampiric AUs; Uzi bites Emily and transforms her. The AU became a wholesome alternation of their non-existent relationship to have the two girls possess A Shared Suffering. A satisfying handful of fanart is found dedicated to them as well as having their own tag on TikTok and Twitter.
