Emtious is the het ship between Emily and Sir Pentious from the Hazbin Hotel fandom.
Canon[]
Season One[]
Some point after Pentious sacrificed himself, in attempt to stop Adam during the battle between the hotel and Heaven, he is transformed into an angel. As he ascends into Heaven right before Emily's eyes, as well as Sera's with both angels being presented to witness Pentious' unexpected arrival. Although Emily was surprised at first, just as Pentious wasn't sure what happened after Adam blasted his air ship, the Angel of Joy becomes delighted to see a sinner be excepted into Heaven as a redeemed soul. Since Pentious and his ascension into Heaven proves that sinners can be redeemed, like Emily has become a strong believer in ever since the trial in "Welcome to Heaven."
Season Two[]
"Storyteller" opens with Emily speaking in defence of Pentious and his right to be in Heaven, with Sera accusing him of breaking into their realm while refusing to believe he actually ascended. Emily pleases with Sera to hear Pentious and to expect what they saw one month ago, before the Speaker of God shows up and helps Emily to prove what she already knows of Pentious. Who shares his story of the guilty he carried to his grave, knowing that it was what landed him in Hell, and how his sacrifice in "The Show Must Go" had him atone for his sin. Seeing Sera finally expect Pentious' redemption and that it is possible for sinners to be redeemed, Emily smiles and becomes glad as Sera allows Pentious to stay, as well as trusting him to her. Afterwords Emily flies up to Pentious, giving him the nickname "Penny," and tells him that he is going to love Heaven.

As the Angel of Joy Emily takes it upon herself to help Pentious feel happy in Heaven, but after she tells Pentious that he can't contact any of his friends back in Hell and unable to go back there to see if they were alright, he felt nothing but loneliness. Him being the only redeemed soul in Heaven didn't help either, while Emily's excitement of his redemption had her fail to notice that neither of her attempts to show Pentious all the good things Heaven has to offer don't interest him. All of it being too much for him and tried to use his inventing skills to fill the void of his loneliness, as well as attempt to return back to Hell. After Pentious mentions the Egg Boys to Emily and not knowing what happened to them after Adam destroyed his air ship in Hell, Emily uses her powers to create angelic versions of his egg minions, they weren't perfect but Pentious appreciated Emily's gift to make happy him again, and also expects her offer of friendship. To wrap the day up Emily takes Pentious to his new home in Heaven, and had painted the faces of his friends next to the bed; in hopes that it would help him. She then give Pentious a proper welcome to Heaven. After Sera announced that Heaven will be in locked down, due to the worry of Hell attacking them, Emily knew that she had to hurry in informing Charlie of Pentious' redemption, Pentious wanted to go with her so he can see his friends; but Emily had already gone through the portal before she could hear his request.
Fanon[]
Emtious is one of the rarepairings of the Hazbin Hotel fandom, with it being overshadowed by CherriSnake and RoyalHalo; even though CherriSnake is the ship that has canonical mutual feelings while RoyalHalo is fanon like Emtious. Ever since "The Show Must Go On" showcased Emily being happy to see redeemed Pentious, fans began to head cannon them as friends; before season two aired. Along with inspiring them to feature this thought they had in their fan art of the two, from feeling that Emily will become his first friend and ally in Heaven. As she helps him to settle in and being the voice of his right to be there. People also like to think that the two will team up to help other sinners get into Heaven as well. Season two features more interactions with each other, showcasing their growing friendship. This caused the ship to become more well-liked, though whether in a romantic or platonic light is divisive.
They currently have under 10 fics on A03 in a romantic light, whereas they have 110+ fics featuring a platonic relationship between the two.
