EpheSkul is the het ship between Ephemer and Skuld from the Kingdom Hearts fandom.
Canon[]
Ephemer and Skuld met and created a party together. But one day, Ephemer went missing, and Skuld had to take care of the others. He once appeared in a dream, telling her to find someone.
Kingdom Hearts [x] chi[]
Skuld finds the Player at the Foutain Square. She introduces herself as a friend of Ephemer. She tells them about the dream she had and the two decide to look inside the Clock tower. At the top of it, they confronts the Foreteller Ira on Ephemer's disappeareance. Skuld, in disbelief by what Master Ira told them, tries to stay calm. The Player battles the Union Leaders.
After defeating them, the Foreteller reveals themselves to be Ava. She tells them that they are both worthy of being Dandelions, just like Ephemer. Skuld decides to join, while Player doesn't want to leave everyone else to die, even after learning the truth by Master Gula. Skuld says that it's fine and that they need to think about it, before leaving. She reunites with Ephemer off-screen.
Later, Ephemer and Skuld seemingly appear at the Bad Lands (or the future Keyblade Graveyard) to save the Player from certain death by making them a Dandelion.
Kingdom Hearts Union X [cross][]
Ephemer and Skuld, who have since become members of the new Union Leaders alongside Ventus, Brain and Lauriam, then decide to erase Player's memories of fighting in the Keyblade War and replace them with fake memories of Player accepting Ava's offer to join the Dandelions, believing that Player wouldn't be able to handle the trauma of fighting in the Keyblade War. But Skuld becomes increasingly worried and uncomfortable about doing that. Ephemer tries to do the right thing.
However, glitches start to appear in Daybreak Town. Ephemer investigates while Skuld, Ventus and Brain try to understand the situation. Skuld tells Ventus that she fears the end of this world. That sentiment is confirmed when that exact thing happens, and the Player seemingly betray and fight them. When it looks like the seemingly possessed Player is about to kill Skuld, Ephemer opens the portal, unintentionally fatally wounding Player in the process. He is forced to locking one side of the Portal and send his friend's body into the Portal Cable. Ephemer, still hurted by what he did to Player, reassures her that he'll be there for her and the others. They get into the last two pods from the Ark, and this is the last time they ever see each other.
After being separated, Ephemer found Scala ad Caelum.
Fanon[]
EpheSkul is the most popular ship for Ephemer and Skuld. It still is discreet compared to other ships. Like Daybreak Trio, the ship started with Skuld's appearance. The fact that she and Ephemer were the founding members of their party makes them (in a way) parents. While they don't interact much, it is clear that they care about each other (especially on Skuld' side).
