EreJeanKasa is the poly ship between Eren Jaeger, Jean Kirstein, and Mikasa Ackerman from the Attack on Titan fandom.
Canon[]
Mikasa and Eren are childhood friends, who meet Jean upon enlisting in the Armed Forces of Eldia (the Military). Young Eren has a plan — to finish the training program and join the Survey Corps, so he can come outside the Walls, explore the world, and slay titans. Mikasa, being exceptionally close to Eren, shares his dream so she can follow him beyond the Walls. Initially Jean, who grew up in a wealthy family, plans on joining the Military Police Brigade, so he can stay inside the walls, earn his money without risking his life. However the nigh following the enlistment of the cadets, Jean overhears Eren passionately talking about joining the Survey Corps. Jean thinks it’s foolish and openly comments on Eren's intentions, which upsets the latter, and Jean apologies, holding out his hand to Eren to make peace. However, the truce doesn't last long as Jean notices Mikasa, who he immediately feels attracted to. As she leaves the cabin following Eren out, Jean calls out for her and tells her he finds her hair pretty. Mikasa seems indifferent as she thanks him; Jean, on the other hand, blushes violently and profusely stutters as he tries to speak to her. Mikasa walks out, and Jean sees her joining Eren, who tells the girl that she should cut the hair (that Jean complimented earlier), so it doesn't get caught in the equipment.
Jean's resentment is obvious, partially caused by Eren's unrealistic views, partially by Eren’s profound influence on Mikasa. As the training starts, Jean never fails to show it to Eren — for example, after the latter asks Jean for advice on maintaining balance while using equipment, Jean openly ridicules him. When Jean tells his friends he found ways to improve his skills so that he can get into the top 10, Eren becomes angered and fights Jean, because he finds Jean's slyness ridiculous and infuriating. Their disagreement gets physical, and they fight until Shadis interrupts and breaks them off. The two fight again the night of the 104th Training Corps graduation, as Jean tries to prove Eren's ideals too unrealistic.

As the Colossus Titan attacks the second time, all three participate in the battle for Trost District. When Eren seemingly dies, Mikasa becomes reckless as she feels that now she has nothing to lose. Ready to die, she comes to join the rest of the recruits and convinces them to make one last attack. Jean helps her rally fellow soldiers. When Eren transforms into a titan, he unknowingly saves Mikasa's life, who ran out of gas and couldn’t escape approaching enemy or fight it with her broken blades. After all the deaths they witnessed, Jean changes his opinion on Eren's ideas. His original plan to join the Military Police is now forgotten as he remembers Eren's impassioned speech. Besides, he has another reason to do so, as Mikasa will be joining the Survey Corps, too.
After becoming the Survey Corps members, Eren, Jean, Mikasa, with the rest of the trainees, participate in the operation to capture Female Titan. When Eren is discussing the plan with Levi's squad, he notices his friends, along with Jean and Mikasa, approach. Mikasa expresses her worry about Eren and asks if Levi or his subordinates hurt him in any way while they were staying at the hide-out castle. Eren seems surprised to see Jean among the new Survey Corps recruits. Jean comes closer and informs Eren that he heard he tried to kill Mikasa when he turned into a titan. Mikasa already has an excuse — Eren was swatting a fly, but Jean rudely interrupts her and says that the scar on her cheek inflicted by Eren's Titan is too deep. Eren openly admits that he probably did try to attack Mikasa, but has no recollection of what happened. Jean believes they all have to depend on Eren, who can't even control himself. Mikasa stops him and says there is no reason to drive Eren into a corner. Jean replies saying that he's not like Mikasa and doesn't want to simply die for Eren's sake. Jean addresses Eren and says they all as soldiers need to have a real goal that will make sacrificing their lives worth it, they count on him, as he holds that responsibility and he should act accordingly. Eren seems impressed.

When Eren is kidnapped by Reiner and Bertolt, Jean and Mikasa chase the titan shifters to retrieve their comrade. As they catch up with them, Eren and Mikasa one by one try to talk Bertolt into releasing Eren. When Mikasa tries to free Eren, she is grabbed by one of the approaching titans, then Jean lets out a cry and stabs the titan in the eye to save Mikasa, who then saves Eren, when he falls of the titan after Erwin cut the ropes ensnarling him. Later Mikasa tells Eren she's grateful for giving her a purpose in life, and as they both cry, Eren gets up from the grass they're sitting on and stops Dina Fritz's titan to save Mikasa. After they safely return back inside Wall Rose, Jean comments on Eren carrying now the weight of responsibility, as his future decisions will prove whether it was worth losing so many of their comrades to save him. Jean reminds Eren that he saved Mikasa when her ribs were crushed by a titan. Jean's small speech inspires Eren to retake Wall Maria. Later the three become members of Levi's Special Operations Squad.
As the Survey Corps members are now wanted by the Military Police, Eren, Jean, and Mikasa live in a hide-out cabin in the woods with the rest of the recruits. One day Mikasa returns to the cabin with chopped wood, Armin sees it and scolds her, and Eren joins adding that he saw her bench pressing the other day, Jean immediately catches up on it and picks a fight with him accusing him of spying on Mikasa.

Some time later, the night before the upcoming Shiganshina District operation, the soldiers have a special dinner to celebrate future success. The evening becomes wild, as Jean accuses Eren of recklessness and calls him a "suicidal blockhead", and due to their tradition they engage in a fist fight again. Jean comments on Eren's titan shifting ability and Mikasa's relentless protection being the only factors that helped Eren stay alive for so long. Mikasa and Armin watch them from afar, and Armin wonders whether they should stop them, but Mikasa replies negatively — she knows they're just looking for attention and will stop fighting once they're exhausted. Eren and Jean's brawl doesn't last long as it is apparent they don't want to fight any more and their moves become sloppier as each of them grows more and more reluctant to hit the other — they just wait for someone to interrupt them. In anime version of this scene Mikasa looks visibly pleased watching them trying to fight as she knows it's all for a show.
One year later Eren, Mikasa, and Jean are shown working on a railroad. As they, along with Armin, Sasha, and Connie, depart after the working day is over, Eren and his friends discuss who should inherit his titan powers after his approaching death. Mikasa volunteers, but Jean interrupts and says it's unwise, adding that they don't know how her Ackerman genes will react to the formula, so it must be dangerous. Then he suggests it should be him, as he is much calmer, smarter, and more collected than Eren. Eren listens to all of his friend's suggestions, but then says he cannot risk their lives like that. Eren thinks it will be better if he passes his ability (or curse) to someone outside of their circle as he cherishes everyone present, Mikasa and Jean included, too much to wish them an early death that comes with the titan power. All of the friends fall silent and start blushing vigorously. Jean is the first one to break the silence, as he seems way too embarrassed and flustered after Eren's words. Eren and Mikasa exchange glances.

Later Jean, Mikasa, and Eren, along with the rest of their comrades, travel to Marley for the reconnaissance purposes. That night Mikasa and Jean attend a meeting with Kiyomi Azumabito, but Mikasa notices Eren is gone, so she goes searching for him. She finds Eren at the refugee camp, and he asks her why she cares so much about him and who he is to her. She doesn’t know how to answer but ultimately says he's her family; right then they're discovered by Jean and their friends. They all join the celebration held by the residents living in the camp and get drunk. In the morning Levi, Hange, and Onyankopon find them all sleeping right on the floor. Mikasa leans to Eren's shoulder on his right, while Jean is found under Eren's left thigh.
When Eren starts leading the Jaegerists rebel group, both Mikasa and Jean are detained and held in the underground cells along with the rest of their friends. After Mikasa and Armin's failed talks with Eren, Jean learns that Eren somehow hurt Mikasa and starts prying for more information, becoming more and more agitated, but Mikasa says it's not important. Eren is the first one to point out, that Eren couldn't possibly hurt his two closest people in the world without a good reason. Jean suspects that Eren is planning something and later his theory turns out to be right — Eren wanted to push Mikasa and Armin away so they don't get hurt, being close to him as they are, as Eren carries our his inhumane plan.
When Jean realizes that Eren must be stopped, he voices his concerns to Mikasa and Hange Zoё. Mikasa doesn't argue, nor does she verbally agree. However when the time comes and the two face Eren again, Jean explodes his titan's nape, effectively detaching the head from the body, however Eren survives. Later Mikasa goes for the real Eren located inside the titan's head, cutting off his head and ending his life. Three years later Mikasa lives on Paradis Island and visits Eren's grave under the tree regularly, telling him what's happening in the world. At the end of the story, Mikasa stays by the grave and tells Eren that their friends, Jean included, will be coming from Marley to visit him.
Fanon[]
The ship is rare, with EreJean, EreMika, and JeanKasa (ships involving all three characters) being much more popular. However the relationship between the three sometimes becomes a a subject of dispute among the fans, and EreJeanKasa appears as a perfect solution to resolve the conflict in the fanbase. Mikasa's loyal devotion to Eren, Jean's silent pining for Mikasa, and Eren and Jean's vitriolic rivalry/friendship make this dynamic so appealing.
