Falconshipping is the slash ship between Captain Falcon and Falco Lombardi from the Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Canon[]
They're both pilots and fly spaceships (Blue Falcon for the Captain, an Arwing for Falco). They also have very similar names/titles.
Super Smash Bros. Melee[]
In Classic Mode, Falco has the chance of being in a team with either Fox or Captain Falcon.
In Event Match 36, "Space Travelers", the player controls Ness and has to fight five space themed fighters, including Falco and Captain Falcon. Two the of them are the only opponents who aren't fought on Fourside, instead, they're both fought on Battlefield.
In Event Match 43, "Birds of Prey", the player controls Fox and has to fight Falco and Captain Falcon on Big Blue, with two lives each and within two minutes.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Subspace Emissary)[]
Falco and Captain Falcon briefly meet when Captain Falcon sees Falco launch Diddy Kong at a group of Primids to save Donkey Kong. When Captain Falcon joins the Kongs along with Olimar, with all four of them defeating a group of Primids, Falco gives Diddy a thumbs up. They later rejoin on the Halberd and when that is destroyed, Captain Falcon joins a fleet alongside an Arwing, led by Samus, taking course for Subspace itself. However, they wound up getting turned into trophies and got scattered all across Subspace, needing to be found and rescued by the remaining heroes.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS[]
In a Solo Event, "Up to Speed", the player controls Sonic and has to defeat a group consisting of Fox, Falco and Captain Falcon in a high-speed 1 stock match.
In a Co-Op Event, "Sky Pirates", the players control Meta Knight and Dark Pit, fighting Captain Falcon and Falco on a time limit.
In Palutena's Guidance for Falco, she wonders why he calls himself "Falco", directly comparing him to Captain Falcon and saying that Falco looks like a pheasant to her.
An official image on Falco's page on smashbros.com has him fight Captain Falcon, Fox and Little Mac on the Arwing stage. Another official image has Falco wrestle Luigi while Captain Falcon is cheering him on.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
In Falco's Classic Mode "Soar Above the Darkness", Captain Falcon is his fifth opponent, representing Blood Falcon.
On Falco's page on smashbros.com, there's an image of Falco attacking Captain Falcon, using Falco Phantasm.
Fanon[]
Captain Falcon and Falco are often portrayed as friends, mirroring Samus' fanon friendship with Fox. A common joke is for Captain Falcon to prank Falco, by pretending to call him by his name only to add "-n Punch!" and launch Falco off-stage. Some have lampshaded the similarities in their names by having Falco dress up like Captain Falcon.
