Falm is the het ship between Alm and Faye from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia[]
Alm is the main character (alongside Celica) of Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Faye is a playable character newly introduced in Shadows of Valentia.
Faye and Alm both grow up in Ram Village (alongside Gray, Tobin, Kliff and Celica). During their childhood they were all friends. Alm and Celica were very close, but at first Faye believed they were cousins. One day, some knights led by Slayde appear near the village and attack Faye. Thanks to Alm, Faye dodges the attack. Mycen (Alm's adoptive grandfather) and the children defeat Slayde who escapes with his troops. Since the knights were trying to capture Celica, she is forced to leave the village. The other kids are trained by Mycen to fight.
Several years later, Alm decides to leave the village to join the Resistance alongside Tobin and Gray. Faye proposes to go with them and Alm can accept. During the adventure, they have support conversations. In the first one, Faye say that she killed their enemies for Alm and he is worried for her. In their second support say that she could sleep the last night because she excited since Alm touch her hand by giving the bread. Alm is worried about how the war affect her mind. In their last conversation, she express that dreams that Alm will return with her at Ram Village, but admits that she knows that it will never happen as Alm has too many responsibilities to return to his childhood home. Nevertheless, he thanks her and the other villagers for helping him become the man he is now.
If Faye wasn't recruited by Alm, she will stay at Ram Village. If Celica visits the village, Faye can join her army. Faye says that she is glad to see Celica after all these years. She expresses that she felt lonely when Alm and the others left without her, and that she wanted to go after Alm on her own but didn't since she would probably have been killed by some beast.
After the war, Alm marries Celica and became King of the united Valentia. Faye returns to Ram Village where she marries a man who agrees to be with her despite her continued pining for the king.
Fire Emblem Heroes[]
Both characters appear in Fire Emblem Heroes in their base forms and have been paired in a themed banner: Lovely Gifts (Valentine's 2020), although Alm was instead partnered up with Celica as the banner's Duo Hero. They also headline one of the game's Bound Hero Battles.
Fanon[]
Falm is a controversial pairing. Faye herself is a controversial character: a part of the fandom hates her and considers that she is a bad character that only care for Alm while another part considered that she is a nice girl traumatized by the war and became obsessed with Alm because of this. Even for the person who want to ship Alm with someone else than Celica, Faye is often considered to by a bad option since her "love" for Alm is showed in the game to be bad for her . However some fans consider that this paring could work in a game with different paired endings. This ship mains rivals are Celicalm and Clairalm on Alm side and Kliff x Faye, Silque x Faye on Faye side. Because of her one-sided crush on Alm, Faye is often considered to be a member of the Catria archetype (alongside Catria herself and Awakening's Cordelia).
Most fanfictions show Faye having one-sided feeling for Alm (like in canon). It's usually shown tragically. Some others show Faye losing her feelings for Alm and usually falling in love with someone else.
Falm is popular in NSFW content.
Many memes show Faye as a crazy yandere for Alm. In those memes, she is depicted as hating Celica.
