Fanmote is the femslash ship between Fanny and Remote from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Battle for BFDI[]
As the contestants are split on their opinions about Loser, Remote says that he didn't deserve it. When Fanny asks what she means by this, Remote clarifies she's referring to his criticism.
The Power of Two[]
The two end up as teammates on team Death P.A.C.T. Again. For the challenge as Remote explains her idea to climb up the stairs, Fanny yells that she hates stairs. Remote urges her to let her finish and explains that they can use Black Hole to launch them further up to the hotel roof. Later when Remote faints out of exhaustion, Fanny gives her a new battery that recharges her. Remote carries Fanny, Tree, Pie, and Marker up the last few flights of steps. When the two, along with Tree and Marker, try to figure out a way to get Black Hole's attention, Fanny is shocked that Remote sacrificies her battery to throw next to him.
Fanny exits the hotel during the team's efforts to get a new battery for Remote from Robot Flower. When Black Hole accidentally sucks up the battery Cloudy found for her, Fanny and the rest of the team gets tense. Later during the challenge when Lightning announces he and Black Hole found batteries for Remote, Fanny cheers and runs over to put it in her. Remote is brought back to life and, unaware of the sudden surroundings, begins frantically asking questions. Fanny angrily explains to her that they lost the first challenge, that Pie got eliminated, and that they're on the second episode now. Understanding, Remote tells Fanny to cool it who starts blowing air on Remote's face.
When Fanny points out that one could die from falling off of a rollercoaster, Remote gets the idea to make a landing pad for the possible occasion.
At Death P.A.C.T. Again's second Cake at Stake, Remote and Fanny are the bottom two. When Two switches them around for fun to create suspense, Fanny yells at Two to just say who's safe already. Fanny is revealed to be the last one safe, while Remote is eliminated.
When Black Hole won't listen to Fanny on how "the greater good" keeps causing their team to lose, she points out how Lightning and Remote were eliminated as a result.
Fanon[]
Fanmote is a fairly popular ship for the two characters. The ship first originates from the two being Death P.A.C.T. again teammates where shippers drew similarities between the two despite their few interactions then. They were the only females of their team after Pie's elimination as well as them both running off of electricity as posts between the two note. Dozens of ship art offer how fans would see their dynamic, such as Fanny wanting Remote's presence and Remote enjoying Fanny's vibrant action. Despite Remote's elimination not too far into the season they're teammates in, the ship is still supported by fans of the two and the team in general. Fubble and Liymote, other lesbian ships involving the two, are some of the ships that rival/are compared with the pairing.
