Fantubebulb is the poly ship between Fan, Test Tube, and Lightbulb from the Inanimate Insanity fandom.

Inanimate Insanity II[]
After the ice breaker challenge, Fan and Test Tube are put together on Lightbulb's team, The Bright Lights.
During the end of the soccer game, The Bright Lights are given a chance to catch up to the Grand Slams by having its 5 remaining members all kick a penalty shot. Test Tube tells Lightbulb and Fan that they need to get four shots past Baseball to win, making Fan worry that they won't make it. Lightbulb motivates them into making the shots, although Baseball ends up blocking all of them. She tells the two that the game was anticlimactic.
While in Purgatory Mansion with Fan, Test Tube talks to him about Lightbulb and Paintbrush getting into arguments. Fan explains to her that he thinks Lightbulb is popular despite not being the best leader while Paintbrush just wants what's best for the team.
When OJ takes over hosting duties, the three, along with Marshmallow and Apple, are convinced by Paintbrush to stay quiet about their loss of the previous contest. Later when Fan and Test Tube are convinced by a recurring pattern among the teams' wins and losses that they will win, Paintbrush struggles to motivate the team into actually putting in the effort. Lightbulb supports Paintbrush but ends up shattering before she can do much, making Fan and Test Tube excitedly chatter about the amount of times she's shattered up to that point. Paintbrush later ends up snapping because none of them want to help them out with cleaning Hotel OJ for the challenge.
Test Tube tries to cure a sick MePhone using rice per Fan's suggestion. Although this does not work, Lightbulb is inspired by the rice to add some soy sauce, throwing some on MePhone and causing him to further glitch out. At Meeple Headquarters, the three follow Paintbrush out of the building when they get a new battery for MePhone.
In the maze challenge, Lightbulb asks Fan to go through the maze with her. After deciding to do so, Fan approaches Test Tube and asks her to watch over his egg for him, stating that he doesn't think the egg will be safe around Lightbulb. Test Tube gladly accepts as Lightbulb takes Fan into the maze with her. The three later reunite at the other side of the maze as a tie between the two teams causes there to be no elimination.
Forgetting that there was no voting last time, MePhone gathers the three and Paintbrush over to the elimination area only to shortly realize that they don't need to be there. In the bucket brigade challenge, Lightbulb collects water and passes the bucket to Test Tube, who gives it to Fan to raise Paintbrush's platform up closer to a hanging key. Lightbulb ends up misremembering the challenge to be finding a golden coin from last season while Test Tube tries to get a distracted Fan to take the bucket of water. Later on when Lightbulb accidentally throws Test Tube in the water instead of the bucket, Test Tube gets the idea to have Lightbulb and Fan use her as the bucket. This works successfully as the water rises Paintbrush high enough were they can grab the key and move on to the next part of the challenge. Lightbulb is prevented by Paintbrush from making the first shot as Fan and Test Tube are given the roles of making the next two afterwards. After their team wins the challenge, Paintbrush cheers that they pulled through for once and hugs Test Tube and Fan, getting annoyed when Lightbulb celebrates with a crab she found instead.
Before the painting challenge, Lightbulb and Test Tube are not present to Fan and Paintbrush's worry. The two make it by the last ten seconds of the challenge as Fan and Paintbrush call out for them. After Paintbrush's anger accidentally ends the challenge early, they end up getting the most votes out from the other remaining contestants. Lightbulb gives Paintbrush her pet crab Baxter to remember her by as Test Tube and Fan wave goodbye right before Paintbrush walks into the elimination portal. By this point, Fan, Test Tube, and Lightbulb are the only remaining contestants from The Bright Lights.
Fan narrates the events of the previous challenge, describing Test Tube and Lightbulb to be away in a B-plot during the painting challenge. While Fan is talking, Lightbulb is seen taking Test Tube inside of a cave exploring inside. Lightbulb is interested in a robotic arm while a glowing gem catches Test Tube's attention. After the gem causes Test Tube to witness one of MePhone's memories inside of it, Fan checks up on her as the challenge starts. Test Tube describes that she saw a vision that felt real to her, briefly catching Suitcase's attention. When Fan asks Suitcase if she wants to talk about what she's seeing with him, Fan mentions the new pairs being formed around him, with Test Tube and Lightbulb being one of them. Later when Suitcase and Fan are the last two to not have found a gem, Test Tube gets mad when Fan throws a shovel out of anger and accidentally hits Lightbulb with it. Fan ends up getting eliminated when Suitcase beats him into finding the last gem.
Test Tube and Lightbulb, along with the remaining contestants, end up being witnesses to an alien spaceship abducting Fan. The contestants all try to figure out a way to save Fan when MePhone calls for them to rescue him. As Test Tube grows angry about the situation, she motivates Lightbulb and the rest of them by pointing out how Fan is believed to have been taken by Cobs. She tells them to channel in their anger by building a machine out of the soda machine to save him. After finishing building it, Test Tube is set to fly in and get Fan back. Lightbulb helps Test Tube with charging up the machine when it loses energy mid-air, launching Test Tube up to the spaceship. Back on ground after the spaceship takes off, Test Tube is recovered and Microphone comes back having retrieved Fan. Lightbulb, along with everyone except for Test Tube, cheer for Microphone as Test Tube is left shocked. As Test Tube, carrying a beat Fan with her, scolds Microphone, Lightbulb walks away with Test Tube to comfort her. In the elimination when Test Tube is revealed to have the most votes out, she approaches Fan and apologizes about the earlier mishap with the egg. As the two embrace their new experience with the Shimmers, Lightbulb jumps in with support for the two despite feeling sad that both of the being eliminated. Test Tube leaves her off with asking her to stir up more chaos, having called Lightbulb their brightest light still in the game. After Fan and Test Tube walk into the elimination portal, Lightbulb is happy for them but becomes upset when the two are gone.
In the Hotel OJ party, Lightbulb allows for Fan and Test Tube to leave with Paintbrush to search for the source of the wail similar to Fan's egg, despite Baseball's earlier warning not to go. Later as the remaining people inside the hotel account for everyone, Lightbulb sets off to find her former Bright Lights.
Fanon[]
Fantubebulb is a rarepair with just the three involved. The ship is one of four variations of the Poly Bright Lights ship with three characters, with this one not including Paintbrush. Ship content of just the three usually involves the dynamics of the individual ships being combined, namely Fantube and Testbulb. Support also comes from the three being the highest ranking of their team and having more moments to spare near the end of their time in the competition. Overall, the ship is more popular as a poly with Paintbrush involved as well, rivaled by ships including them.
On AO3, as of February 4, 2025, the ship has 3 works in its romantic tag. It is the 9th most written poly ship for the show.
