Farunari is the het ship between Faruzan and Tighnari from the Genshin Impact fandom.
Canon[]
Farzuan and Tighnari are good friends with mutual respect and understanding of each other. Tighnari, though not necessarily pitiful of her, is aware of Faruzan's incident with one of her research projects and expresses patience with her. He isn't willing to let others like the Traveler pity her, either. Tighnari generally sees Faruzan as a valuable friend to turn to when in need. In return she sees him as a very intelligent man and knows who to look for when interviewing the forest.
She does, however, really adore his student, Collei. Faruzan openly claims her opinion on how strict he is, justifying that there's no reason for Collei to be sternly cared for. She's constantly attempting to woo Collei into becoming her student. Tighnari is fully aware of Faruzan's coaxing, as he talks about how she's always trying to bring Collei foods. It's unclear whether he knows the true intent behind her sweetness.
Faruzan Hangout Event[]
Tighnari's robotic companion, Karkata, has been going through difficulties beyond Tighnari's knowledge. With his lack of technical smarts he resorts to Faruzan's assistance. He has Collei and the Traveler go retrieve her, and to beware her attitude. In the second ending, the Traveler can choose to keep Tamimi a secret or be open. Choosing to drop the truth will have Tighnari understand her situation and offers to give her time, hoping that he and others will be there to be her new friends.
Fanon[]
Farunari is a well-received ship in the fandom. Their similar attributes and combining intelligence is one of the many reasons why shippers come to endearing them. Despite these similar characteristics Faruzan is very different from Tighnari in personality. She's more uptight, irritable, and arguably traditional whereas Tighnari is indeed stern, but has a more tranquil and snarky approach. This often depicts Faruzan as the Tsundere in the relationship in fan content.
Some fans may or may not depict Collei as the adoptive daughter of the two in romantic relationships. This side gag of their relationship is acknowledged in platonic works. Said works include Faruzan plotting many schemes in winning Collei over, much to Tighnari's chagrin.
