Fat Gum Agency is the friendship between Eijiro Kirishima, Tamaki Amajiki, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, and Taishiro Toyomitsu from the My Hero Academia fandom.
Canon[]
Taishiro is the head of Fat Gum Agency, named for his hero name, "Fat Gum". Tamaki is the first student that he takes on in a Work Study capacity. Although it is unknown when, precisely, this relationship began, it occurred at some point prior to the start of the summer semester in Tamaki's third year. Upon hearing about the Work Study program, Eijiro decides that he has to find a mentor. He corners Tamaki in the dormitories, and demands that he introduce Eijiro to Taishiro. Taishiro takes to Eijiro quickly, and invites him to join the team. The trio fight together in the Shie Hassaikai raid.
Tetsutetsu does not pursue a Work Study during the summer semester, as it is not a mandatory part of the curriculum. Prior to the start of the winter break, the Hero Public Safety Commission makes Work Studies mandatory. Tetsutetsu is recruited to the Fat Gum Agency, likely due to his friendship with Eijiro. He joins forces with Tamaki, Eijiro, and Taishiro, and the group can be seen patrolling in the Kansai Region. All four members of the group are sent to the Gunga Mountain Villa during the Paranormal Liberation War. While Tamaki and Taishiro are sent out on the front lines, Eijiro and Tetsutetsu are kept away from the main action as part of the "Back-Up" team.
World Heroes' Mission[]
The Fat Gum Agency are part of "Team Japan" in the fight against Humarise. The team are shocked when they hear that Izuku Midoriya is wanted for mass murder, and all agree that they do not believe he would ever commit such a crime. When Humarise announces that a Trigger bomb will go off in Tokyo, the Fat Gum Agency rush to their aid. Eijiro and Tetsutesu focus on evacuation, while Tamaki works with the injured.
Fanon[]
The relationship between Eijiro, Tamaki, and Fat Gum is a beloved one in the fandom. As well, the relationship between Eijiro and Tetsutetsu is well-liked by fans. Although Tetsutetsu is only seen briefly as a member of the Fat Gum agency in the manga/anime, fans were quick to gladly accept him as part of the group. Many were glad to see more screentime for the full Fat Gum Agency group in the film, World Hereos' Mission.
Fans of the Fat Gum Agency friendship enjoy the dynamic between the four characters. Fat Gum, Eijiro, and Tetsutetsu are all very similar characters, being loud and optimistic. Tamaki is the outlier, but fans like to think that the other three help to bring him out of his shell. They also like to see the way that the four characters can work together, and the ways in which their Quirks compliment one another. Most future fics feature Tamaki still working under Fat Gum as a Pro-Hero, and many include Eijiro and Tetsutetsu on Fat Gum's roster as well. Fans like to think that the characters have built such a good friendship that they would continue working together even as adults.
While some fans ship the four characters romantically, it is most common as a friendship, likely due to the vast range of ages between the characters. There are currently 5 works on AO3 for the Fat Gum Agency friendship.
