Febailmuirne is the het ship between Febail and Muirne from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Muirne and Febail are two playable characters in Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War. Muirne is a commoner with no special bloodline who grew up in an orphanage in Isaach alongside Seliph, the heir of Grannvale's throne. Febail is the son of Brigid--a noble from Grannvale, heir of the dukedom of Yngvi, and a descendant of the crusader Ullir from whom both mother and son inherit the legendary bow, Yewfelle and the major holy blood required to be able to use it. However, he grew up in an orphanage in the Muster District without knowing that his mother was a noble. He took care of the orphans like little siblings and worked as a mercenary to help out the orphanage.
In Year 777 of the Jugdral calendar, Seliph and his army started fighting the empire's oppression and began to liberate Isaach. Muirne followed her friends to the fight. When their army visited the Munster District, they fought to liberate it against King Bloom's army. Bloom hires Febail to fight Seliph's army, despite his reticence. Febail accepts to help the orphan. Patty (Febail's sister) who had joined Seliph's army convince her brother to join them.
In chapter 10, if neither Muirne nor Febail have a lover they share a special conversation. Febail comments that Muirne is tougher than what she seemed and ask her if she is not scared being out there. Muirne admits that she is scared, but says that she fights for the children, then comments that he took care of orphans too, and says that it's wonderful. Febail explains that it was Patty's idea, and that he wasn;t really all that big on kids. Muirne answers that she saw many crying children clinging to Febail when he was leaving the Manster District, and that he is like a father to them. Febail found a pretext to leave and Muirne comments that he is a good guy. If they reach enough love points together, they will wed.
After the war Febail either inherits his father's land (if he was a noble) or the dukedom of Yngvi (from his mother). If Muirne is his lover she follows him and rule at his side.
Fanon[]
Febailmuirne is a rare pair even by Japan-only game standards. The main reason is that Muirne and Febail generally don't appear in the same playtroughts is due to the fact that players generally get all the children units (with Lana replacing Muirne) at the same time or all the substitute characters at the same time (with Asallo replacing Febail). The ship's popularity is also overshadowed by the popularity of Lana x Febail and Muirne x Asallo due to the fact that in the final chapter if they are lovers, Lana and Febail (or Muirne and Asallo) share a special conversation that Febail and Muirne don't. However, some players prefer Febailmuirne to Fabail x Lana due to the fact that Febail and Lana are cousins. Febail and Muirne are mainly paired together for their interaction in Chapter 10 ( Febail can also have this conversation with Lana and Muirne with Asallo).
