Ferdimari is the het ship between Ferdinand von Aegir and Marianne von Edmund from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Ferdinand von Aegir and Marianne von Edmund two playable characters in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Ferdinand was a noble of the Adrestian Empire. Marianne's parents where minor nobles of the Leicester Alliance and died when their daughter was 14. Marianne was adopted by her distant relative the Margraviate of Edmund. In the Imperial Year 1180 they both became student at Garreg Mach Monastery Officers Academy. Marianne join the Golden Deer class while Ferdinand join the Black Eagles. If Byleth recruit both of them in their class they will be classmate. They can have support conversations. If they reach an A support at the end the the game they will wed.
In their C support Ferdinand talk to Marianne while she is praying and praise her piety and that he admire her for this. Marianne is embarrassed and leave. Later Ferdinand suggest to Marianne to be more confident, and that to gain the trust of commoners, she must appear self-assured at all times. Marianne answers that she has no need to earn the trust of the common people as a noble and that all she wants is to live a quiet life and to not be a bother to anyone. Ferdinand say that regardless of what she hopes for she has inherited certain responsibilities, by virtue of her birth. Before leaving Marianne answers that she don't care to be a responsible person. Ferdinand doesn't understand and remarks that one would think she does not wish to be a noble.
In their C+ support, Ferdinand want to talk with Marianne. He reveals that he has been thinking about their last conversation, he find curious that she is a noble that wish to not be one and that he didn't expected this from the daughter of Margrave Edmund. Marianne answers that she was actually adopted by the Margrave Edmund , that he is a distant relative and that her parents where minor nobles from the countryside. Ferdinand argue that even if she is from minor nobility she stills a noble. Marianne became angry and explains that her parents and her have suffered because of of their bloodline and Crest. Ferdinand says that he won't pretend to understand but ask her to calm down. Marianne ask him to leave her wich he do.
In their B support Ferdinand apologize to Marianne. Marianne says that he did nothing wrong. Ferdinand answers that he want to finish what he wanted to say the last time. He ask if it's not better to accept reality and move forward from there? Then he says that cursing her heritage and rejecting her present situation make her gloomy, even despairing and that as long as she is held back by that way of thinking, nothing is ever going to change. Marianne ask him if really believe that he accept whatever comes in his life and he answers that he do. Then she ask him how. He says that he believe that each person is born with a purpose and that they must fulfill that purpose, no matter their circumstances. Marianne asks if he really think it's possible that someone like her had a purpose to fulfill which he answers by the affirmative. Marianne thanks him and says that his words have deeply moved her.
In their A support, Marianne and Ferdinand are eating together. Ferdinand comments that Marianne seem different wich she answers that it might be true. Ferdinand notice that she is smiling and that it's probably the first one that he see it. She says that she spent a lot of time thinking about what he said and that she is happier since she started thinking about it more. She realized that that anyone can make other people happy. Ferdinand notice that she find her purpose. It was Marianne turn to cook and she asks Ferdinant how he find the meal. He answers that it's delicious and that he is glad that Marianne learned to like herself. He asks her to cook for him alone if she had time. Marianne answers that it would be a pleasure.
Crimson Flower[]
In the Crimson Flower route Byleth choose the Black Eagle and later to side with Edelgard and the empire. Ferdinand was in Byleth class since the beginning and stayed in the empire's army. If Marianne wasn't recruited before the time skip she's not seen again and her fate is unknown. If she was recruited she joins the empire. If Ferdinand and Marianne get a paired ending Ferdinand will announce his engagement to Marianne just after becoming the new Duke Aegir. While he got started restoring his territory, Marianne returned home to study politics under her shrewd adoptive father. When she returned to Ferdinand's side, they were wed, and with her new skills she proved herself to be an asset to the rebuilding effort. Aegir territory flourished under their reign, becoming one of the most prosperous regions in all Fódlan. It is said that Ferdinand commissioned a bronze statue of his wife to honor her, but that Marianne ordered it to be hidden away in storage for eternity.
Silver Snow[]
In the Silver Snow route Byleth choose the Black Eagle and later stay loyal to the church. Ferdinand was in Byleth class since the beginning , decide to follow them and join the Resistance Army. If Marianne wasn't recruited before the time skip she's not seen again and her fate is unknown. If she was recruited she joins the Resistance Army. If Ferdinand and Marianne get a paired ending it say that Ferdinand announced his marriage to Marianne just after becoming the new Duke Aegir. With the support of Margrave Edmund, they set to work restoring Aegir territory. The support of Marianne's adoptive father was essential, but not sufficient, for the relief effort. As more difficulties arose, Marianne herself took on an increasing amount of responsibility. She proved quite capable and dedicated, and the Dukedom progressed through a steady recovery under the couple's collective efforts. It is said that Ferdinand commissioned a bronze statue of his wife to honor her achievements, but Marianne ordered it to be hidden away in storage for eternity.
Azure Moon[]
In the Azure Moon route Byleth choose the Blue Lion. Both Ferdinand and Marianne can be recruited. If Marianne wasn't recruited before the time skip she's not seen again and her fate is unknown. If she was recruited she joins the army of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus . If Ferdinand wasn't recruited before the time skip he is fight and killed by Byleth's army while defending the Great Bridge of Myrddin. If he was recruited he left the empire and joins the army of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. Their paired ending in this route is the same that in Silver Snow and in Verdant Wind.
Verdant Wind[]
In the Verdant Wind route Byleth choose the Gloden Deer. Marianne was in Byleth class since the beginning and joins the army of the Leicester Alliance. If Ferdinand wasn't recruited before the time skip he is fight and killed by Byleth's army while defending the Great Bridge of Myrddin. If he was recruited he left the empire and joins the army of the Leicester Alliance. Their paired ending in this route is the same that in Silver Snow and Azure Moon.
Fanon[]
Ferdimari isn't the most popular het ship for both characters due to the popularity of their rivals pairings. However, a part of the fandom ship them because they like their support conversations. The part of their paired ending when it's said that Ferdinand had commissioned a bronze statue of his wife is usally found funny by the players and some fanarts are made about it. Their relationship is also liked for their initial opposite point of view about the crests and the nobility and the fact that. Most fanart show them with their post timeskip appearances.
