Mayina is the femslash ship between Maya Fey and Regina Berry from the Ace Attorney fandom.
Canon[]
They meet just when Phoenix is "attacked" by a tiger which Regina later introduces as "Regent". She assures him and Maya that Regent didn't bite anyone, but that Phoenix was lucky for it, and asks if he agreed with her. When he does it doubtfully, Maya is very shocked and a little angry as she asks him why he had agreed with her, and it was just in that moment in which Regina complimented the "costume" Maya was wearing, describing it as it being cute and wanted to try it on. Maya wonders a bit of what Regina was talking about, until she realizes that Regina was referring to her clothes, and from there Regina asks if she didn't care she could put it on, and Maya gives her a doubtful but positive answer. Regina is very excited at her agreement, and Phoenix talks to himself about how the tables had turned on, with the whole tiger thing. Regina mentions on how when she appeared under the spotlight, everyone clapped for her, and Maya smiles saying that they knew that she was cute, and Regina denies it, with correcting Maya as her being cute.
Wright then asks Regina about what had happened the last night, Regina asks about if it was the murder which he was referring on, and as she got an affirmative answer, she describes about her dad's murder, and that he was the ringmaster of the circus. Maya is very sorry about her, and when she's apologizing for it, Regina only asks her why was her being sorry. Maya is confused at the answer gotten, so Phoenix describes on how Regina was being perky even after knowing that her father was murdered a night ago. If the player asks Regina about herself, Maya flatters her saying it was incredible that Regina was an animal tamer, and in response Regina only replies with a "If you say so...". Maya then adds about how the job might have been scary for her, but Regina denies it, as she mentions Regent not being scary, and since her past best friend Léon, he was her best friend. Maya asks about Léon, and Regina replies that he was killed by her own father. Maya, just as Phoenix, were surprised, and asks her about the reason of it, but Regina doesn't give an answer, as she didn't know either.
If the player presents Regina's profile to Regina herself, she'll ask if she looked cute in the picture, to which Maya will agree inmediately (along with Phoenix too).
A new option will appear after interacting with Regina a bit, with it being "What's on your mind?". Once it's selected, Regina will answer to Maya only, and Phoenix pouts at this once done. Maya, though, tells him that someone had professed their love to Regina with it being Max Galactica and Trilo. Maya compliments Regina by saying she was a hit to men inside the circus, and Phoenix says back that Regina had somehow a "strange power" over men. Maya then finishes by saying that even herself wanted to profess her love to Regina, and Phoenix also agreed.
When a monkey (named Money) steals Phoenix's attorney badge, Regina reassures him saying she would help him, but wasn't sure on where it would go. This surprises Maya, and after Regina mentions that it was because she was not on good terms with the monkey, Maya is even more surprised, but then Regina says that Money wasn't the kind of animal she would work with, which reassured Maya. When talking about the proposals Regina got in that day, Regina asks Maya who she could go for (referring to Max and Trilo) and in Maya's place, Phoenix only asks Regina if she had realized that Trilo was a puppet, but Regina didn't seem to mind if Trilo was "stiff". Wright, shocked, only replies with "Oh boy".
After the first day of Max Galactica's trial, once Maya and Phoenix went to Regina, she asks them for a favor, which was to bring her something she cares about a lot (a shiny costume, which Money had stolen before), and if the player chooses "Gladly!", Maya will inmediately say to leave it up to them and Regina gets really excited for the answer, jumping in joy. After recovering the costume, Maya tells Regina that she wanted to try the costume on before but it didn't fit her, and Regina explains that it wasn't really hers, but León's.

Phoenix asks Regina about León, she then narrates about how during a past practice in which León did something really bad. As she tells the story, Maya nods in excitement with every part narrated until Regina mentions a certain part when she had to put her head inside León's mouth, and Maya extremely worried and shocked, asked if everything was alright in that time. She does not receive a positive response, since Regina said that her father was really angry and that's when León was killed by her father (last part about León finished by Phoenix).
Right after Max's trial, finally declared innocent, Regina is very depressed by the fact that Acro and Bat (Acro's brother) would not return and at the same time, Acro (true murder of the case, teammate of Regina) could take revenge on her, but was later reassured by Phoenix after he tells her that Acro no longer felt revenge. Regina then calms, and is determined to stay with Bat (who is in a coma) until he opened his eyes to her. Maya then happily agrees, and then she's shocked when Regina mentioned the last part, while Wright tells her that it was very sweet from her, and Phoenix also felt relieved internally that it could at least give her a peace of mind.
At the end, Max, Moe, and Regina decide to make a better circus, the best of all, while Maya mentions about how she couldn't wait to spectate the best circus the world would see.

- In the ringmaster's room, if the player interacts with a family photo on the desk of Regina and her father, Maya will compliment Regina worriedly saying that she was lucky to have a wonderful father.
- Maya saying it was cool for Max to plan on marrying Regina (though the latter never mentioned about doing so).
- Maya agreeing with Regina after Phoenix presents her a broken bottle. Phoenix then says for himself that he never expected Maya to make a new friend in a strange place (Big Top's cafeteria).
- Maya not only calling Regina cute, but also a "shining beauty" and a "princess".

It's not popular, but it's really controversial due to Maya's confession about professing her love to Regina, and because of this, Maya was commonly headcanoned as either bi or lesbian. It's also known because of Maya constantly calling Regina cute, which it supports the idea of Maya being canonically attracted to Regina, but it's not officially confirmed. But, as said before, it's not really popular because of Regina appearing only few times, so the ship is easily foreshadowed by other Maya's ships being NaruMayo and Franmaya.
