Wonder Woman 2017

Diana lives with the Amazones on Themyscira and she has no idea whats going on in the outside world. One day a american pilot named Steve Trevor crashes his plane on the island. Diana saves him and they fight together against German soldiers. The Amazones interrogate Steve and don't let him go back to the world. Diana helps him and together they sail away from the island (the Amazones with Dianas mother know this and approve it). On the boat they have a little talk about marriage, reproduction and the "pleasure of the flesh".

They arrive in London, Steve buys Diana some "normal" clothes and she meets his secretary, Etta Candy. After they visited Steve's superior they decide to do something against the evil general Ludendorf and his "witch" Dr. Maru, aka Dr. Poison. They take 3 friends of Steve with them to the front. Diana walks over Nomansland and fights against the Germans and frees a little belgium village. They celebrate their victory and Steve and Diana dance together. She asks him about what people do when there isn't a war to fight. After some talking and looking deep in each others eyes they go to Diana's hotel room together. Steve is standing by the door, pauses, and looks at Diana. She gives him the look and he enters the room closing the door behind him. They don't say anything, look at each other, and then share a kiss. They spend the night together.

The next day they go to a gala of Ludendorf and Diana wants to kill him. Steve stops her because when Ludendorf is dead no one can stop the poison. Diana is mad at him and follows Ludendorf to a military base where she kills him. She finds out he's not Ares and is shocked. Steve finds her and tries to get her help to destroy the poison. She says no and finds the real Ares (who was Steve's superior). She fights him and meanwhile, Steve and his friends try to stop the plane with the poison bombs from starting. Steve decides he has to fly the plane and let it explode in the air. He runs to the plane and goes to Diana to talk to her. Her ears are ringing from an explosion and she doesn't understand what he's saying (but she remembers later). He tells her he loves her and gives her his watch. He starts the plane and it explodes in the air. He dies but he saves the people's lives. Diana kills the real Ares and the war is over.

Diana celebrates with Etta, Steve's friends, and dozens of other people on the streets of London. She touches the picture of Steve with tears in her eyes and a smile on her face.

Back in the present she writes to Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, and thanks him for the picture of her and Steve and his friends that Bruce gave her earlier. She writes: "Thanks for bringing him back to me". She takes Steve's watch which she kept all these years and smiles.

Wonder Woman 84

Diana wishes to be with Steve again. Diana for a while would spend time with someone possessed by Steve's spirit who Diana believe that it is Steve. But eventually, she would revoke her wish and the spirit of Steve Trevor would leave the stranger's body. And Diana would say goodbye to Steve again.

Justice League

When Bruce Wayne was building an aircraft Diana noted that she knew a person would like to fly the aircraft that Bruce is building. Diana method Steve when talking with Cyborg. Diana punches Bruce for bringing him up when he was talking about taking the blame.

Wonder Woman '77

The two met when Steve crash lands in Paradise Island where Diana takes him to receive medical treatment. After Diana wins a competition she takes Steve back to America in the Invisible Plane. The two develop a love interest with each other during season 1 of the series. Diana would look out for Steve and help him in his time of need. When Diana was captured and taken by the Nazis, Steve attempted to rescue her against the general's order. Although Diana escapes Steve gets captured and Diana goes back to Germany to rescue him. The two leave Germany and go back to America. Steve would later meet Diana's sister and would later wonder about where Diana is from. One day Andros came to Earth while staying on earth Steve got jealous of Andros. However, after being other to stay some in the galaxy Diana chose to stay on earth with Steve. After the war, Diana returns to Paradise Island for 35 years after the war. Steve married an unnamed woman and have a son who he named after him. Steven Leonard Trevor, Jr. would hear the stories about his father's adventures with Diana and methods about her equipment like the lasso of truth and her super strength, he has also mentioned Diana's beauty. Hearing the stories Steve Trevor Jr thought that his father was crazy. At some point, Steve Trevor Sr died during the 35-year time period.

During the beginning of Season 2, Steve Trevor. Jr was flying and was knocked out along with his crew. Diana aboard the ship only see that he looks exactly like the Steve Trevor she knew. Diana would later learn that he is Steve's son. Diana would come back to America working with Steve. Diana would also help him in his time of need similar to what she did with his father. During Season 2-3 Diana doesn't have an interest in Steve Treveor. Jr despite the fact that he looks like his father.

Batman: the Brave and the Bold

In the series Diana and Steve Trevor are in a relationship. In season 3 episode 4, Diana saves Steve and Batman during there conversation with Baroness Von Gunther, Steve tells Batman that being agent is easy when he has a super powered girl friend. Steave would watch Diana's battle with Baroness, but when the countdown for the rocket is finshed Diana saves him from a rocket by throwing her tiara to free him from the chains. After Diana frees Steve, he amires how she' really is a Wonder Woman. Batman would question what Diana sees in him.

Wonder Woman 2011

At some point before the beginning of the pilot episode, Diana and Steve Trevor was in a relationship, later she would break up with him before she left for LA. After some time Diana left Steve was sent to LA as her Justice Department liaison. After Diana's takedown of Cale, she would meet the lawyer of the Justice Department meeting Steve Trevor again.

Justice League Action

Diana and Steve's mutual feelings for each other are one-sided as Diana has feelings for Steve while Steve has feelings for Diana as her alter ego Wonder Woman and seems not to notice her as Diana Prince.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

In an alternative timeline created by Barry, in the new timeline the Amazon and Atlanteans are at war with each other. Steve had infiltrated New Themyscira and Wonder Woman and her army had captured the British Isles, in search for Lois Lane. Steve was pursued by the Amazons by Wonder Woman and her Squadron. And is captured by Wonder Woman and is forced with the Lasso of Truth to reveal who he is and what is his purpose was on the island. Afterward Wonder Woman strangled Steve to death by hanging him high above the ground with the Lasso.

Fanon

Wondertrev has support from being canon in a few known DC universes, like the 2017 Wonder Woman film that has inspired many others to join in the support. Some have made jokes about Steve being Wonder Woman's Lois Lane, from how they are both the none super-human love interests of DC heroes who assist them in their own unique ways. While Steve being Wonder Woman's closes friend from the past could possibly have him as her Peggy Carter, from how her DC Extended Universe film takes place in World War I while the Marvel Cinematic Universe Captain America film takes place during the second war. Giving both ships from the two separate superhero series a connection.

On AO3, it is the most written ship for both characters. It is also the most written ship in the Wonder Woman (2017) tag.
