Silvisper is the het ship between Silver and Whisper from the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.
Canon[]
Outside of the comics, both are two of many playable characters in Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.
Past[]
During the Eggman War, Whisper the Wolf—the sole surviving (and loyal) member of an anti-Eggman mercenary group—assisted the Resistance from the shadows. Her efforts saved the lives of several Resistance members, including Silver, who would begin developing an admiration for the one being called the “Guardian Angel”. The two would never meet face-to-face during the war, as Whisper would go into hiding while the hedgehog returned to his own time period.
Hunt for Eggman[]
Silver, discovering that his future was again being threatened by something in the past, travelled to one month after the war’s end and learned from Amy that there was a hunt going on for Neo Metal Sonic, who had taken control of Eggman’s army. Amy directed him to an abandoned Eggman base that Sonic was investigating, the same one that Whisper was coincidentally also infiltrating at the same time. Upon Silver finding Sonic, the latter initially believed Silver to be the one helping him get into the base, only for a shot from nowhere to hit a Badnik that was sneaking up on them. Silver realized with glee that the “Guardian Angel” had been helping Sonic, and the two moved deeper into the base while Silver explained more about them and his reason for being at the base. As they reached the door to the base’s main computer, they found Whisper trying unsuccessfully to open it and Silver, getting carried away, tried to talk to her only for her to hide. Sonic was quick to apologize for them sneaking up on her and Silver’s overbearing greeting.
After proper introductions were made, Silver opened the door, only for he, Whisper, and Sonic to be met by a sizeable force of Badniks. The three proceeded to fight them, only for Whisper to end up pinned down under some rubble. Luckily, Silver was able to stop the oncoming Badniks and free her, after which he compliments Whisper for building quite a team—referring to the Wisps with her—and asking if he could be included in that team, to which Whisper bashfully says “maybe”. After the Badniks were destroyed, and Sonic stopped Whisper from destroying the main terminal in anger, the three horrifyingly discovered what Neo Metal Sonic was planning and quickly returned to Resistance HQ.
Battle for Angel Island[]
Silver and Whisper joined the Resistance as they made their way to Angel Island—where Neo Metal Sonic was making a base—only for them to be shot down by his fleet. The two ended up separating to help in different ways: Silver began destroying Neo’s forces while Whisper provided overwatch on Tails alongside Tangle. The two eventually regrouped on a ship that Tails commandeered, just in time to witness Neo Metal Sonic transform into his new Master Overlord form. They then joined the rest of the Resistance in distracting Master Overlord while Knuckles removed the Master Emerald powering the transformation from him. Eventually, Master Overlord shakes everyone, including Whisper, off of him, only for Silver to utilize save everyone from falling to their deaths as Knuckles removes the Emerald and forcing it down, reverting to regular Metal Sonic along the way. As everyone recovers from the aftermath, Silver and Blaze personally thanks Whisper for helping out, to which she is grateful. The eventually parted ways, with Silver returning to the Resistance while Whisper went with Tangle the Lemur.
Metal Virus Crisis[]
Silver and Whisper had reunited on Angel Island, once again, during the peak of the crisis when the Restoration, the reformed Resistance, had to evacuate there as it was the only place left unaffected so that they and Dr. Eggman could come up with a plan to stop the Virus and the Deadly Six who had usurped Eggman’s plan. Silver and Whisper were not in the best of states at the time, as Silver had failed to save an evacuation shuttle full of civilians while Whisper was grieving for Tangle’s recent infection. Everyone ultimately agreed to split up into teams and defeat each of the Deadly Six simultaneously to take the Chaos Emerald they had. During the splitting up, Whisper and Silver are sent to defeat Zor due to his “weirdness” necessitating long-range combat, which Silver is ecstatic about as he gets to finally fight alongside the “Guardian Angel”.
Upon arriving in Orchardville, the two locate Zor and Silver utilizes his psychokinesis to hold him in place for Whisper to take a shot at him, only for Zor to break free and fight back. Thankfully, Silver manages to distract him long enough for Whisper and her Wisps to line up a shot that blasts the Chaos Emerald out of the harness Zor was wearing. Silver promptly obtains the Emerald and the two make their getaway back to Angel Island, only to find that not everyone managed to make it back from their missions and their position had been discovered by Zavok. Whisper hung back to help with the ensuing Zombot invasion while Silver went with Sonic and Metal Sonic to get the last Chaos Emerald from Zavok so that he and Sonic could go into Super mode and use the Warp Topaz to remove the Metal Virus from the world. When Silver returned to the island after Sonic disappeared in the Topaz’s explosion, he and Whisper assisted in finally subduing Zavok. In the aftermath, Silver finally returned to his now peaceful future while Whisper assisted in the recovery efforts.
Misadventures[]
Silver eventually returns to the present out of feeling lost about what to do now that his time was peaceful. This wondering would cause him to literally run into Whisper, again. Seeing Silver's dilemma, Whisper offers for him to participate in some training with the Diamond Cutters - a newly formed rapid-response team that she was a part of. This training quickly goes off the rails, however, when one of the members - a cat named Duo - causes Silver to drop some rocks that nearly crush the remaining team members just as a large Badnik makes a sudden appearance. Whisper - who saw what Duo did - join Tangle and Lanolin in saving Silver from the Badnik, although Lanolin berates Silver when he tries to blame Duo for the incident. Later, in the Emeraldville Ruins, Whisper joins Silver - currently sulking about the events at training - and tells him that she believes him about Duo instigating the problems. As Silver describes Duo's eyes changing during the ordeal, Whisper realizes what's happening and tells him that they're going hunting.

Whisper’s introduction in issue 8 of IDW’s Sonic the Hedgehog comics and Silver’s admiration of her within that issue quickly inspired a romantic pairing of them. The dichotomy of them being a quiet and very shy girl compared to an excitable guy was another factor to the ship’s initial popularity. In the end, however, it would still only become a small ship for Silver who had several other popular pairings such as Silvaze and Sonilver, while Whisper would go on to have more popular pairings like Whispangle.
Two Silvisper/Whispilver weeks were held on January 10-15 and on March 5-10, 2021.
