Taiream is the het ship between Tails and Cream from the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.
Canon[]
Tails and Cream are often on good terms, although on some instances (such as in Sonic Heroes), they have either fought or had a rivalry.
Games[]
Cream and Tails had their first known meeting in Sonic Advance 2, the game in which Cream made her first appearance. Cream and Tails, along with Sonic and Knuckles, teamed up to save Cream’s mother, Vanilla, from Dr. Eggman. The four seemingly defeated him and saved Vanilla, only for Eggman to kidnap her again. In Sonic Advance 3, Tails and Cream teamed up with Sonic, Knuckles and Amy to stop G-merl. In Sonic Heroes, Tails and Cream had a less pleasant meeting. Cream, along with Amy and Big, challenged Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in a fight, hoping they would reveal the whereabouts of Chocola and Froggy. Later, the two teams, along with Team Dark and Team Chaotix, joined forces to defeat Neo Metal Sonic. Though it has not been confirmed, rumour has it that an early version of the game’s script had a scrapped segment where Tails and Cream confront each other after the teams split, and Cream gives Tails a kiss on the cheek.
Tails and Cream were also on friendly terms in Sonic Rush and the Nintendo DS version of Sonic Colors. In Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, Cream could become a party member, while Tails was already a party member by the time the party found Cream, and as such, they could appear together. Tails and Cream were also among the guests in Sonic’s birthday party in Sonic Generations, although no major interactions were shown between the two. In Sonic Free Riders, their teams were competing against each other in the first round. If Team Rose won the race, Tails complimented Cream’s extreme gear, to which she replied, "Well, sure! That means a lot coming from you, Mr. Tails!" .
Sonic X[]
Tails and Cream were good friends, and among the inhabitants of Sonic’s world to get teleported to Earth. Some fans have speculated that Tails already knew that Cream was captured and taken to Area 99 in the episode “Sonic to the Rescue”, and took it upon himself to try and rescue her alone until he realized that Sonic had already done so, to which he rescues both of them. Cream and Tails both lived in the Thorndyke Mansion until they found a way to return to their world. They have some moments including building a sand castle on the beach together, or the most notable being the iconic flashback Tails has of him finding Cream picking flowers for her Mother in the episode “Party Hardly”. Later, they were among the ones to travel to space to help Cosmo defeat the Metarex. Both Tails and Cream had a close relationship with Cosmo, as Tails was her love interest and Cream was her best friend.
In issue 4 of the comics, when Eggman is attacking Tails, Sonic, and Rouge at the science museum in Station Square, Cream is riding in the X-Tornado being flown by Chuck. She then greatly insists to him that Tails be saved from the Robot restraining him, even though Chuck was pushing the X-Tornado to its limits, but does not say it about Sonic or Rouge. Cheese even directly attacks the robot that only Tails is being restrained by, freeing him, much to the delight of Cream. This could suggest that Cream cares for Tails in a special way.

In the Post-Super Genesis Wave universe, Tails and Cream were both members of the Freedom Fighters.
In issue 269, Cream appeared concerned for Tails when he was having trouble during his match against Honey and was furious when the cat defeated the two-tailed fox by tricking him, accusing her of cheating.

In issue 32, when Tangle gets everybody in on a large group hug, Cream appears to be hugging Tails directly.
Fanon[]
Taiream is a popular ship in the fandom, and among the most popular ships for both characters. It is also known to be the earliest known ship for both characters in general. Origins of the ship date back all the way to 2003, when Sonic Advance 2 was released, though a few sources depict the two being shipped in 2002, before Cream was even introduced in North America. It was not until Sonic X aired however that the ship started gaining more attention and popularity. It has also gained popularity due to both characters being young, and because they are both of the flying type. It rivals Tailsmo as the most popular ship for Tails, and rapid shippers of the two pairings have had ship wars, especially during the airing of Sonic X. The ship war most likely started when Cosmo became Tails’ Sonic X love interest, because the Taiream shippers were hoping that Tails and Cream would eventually get together canonically, and were upset that Cosmo had been put with Tails instead. Taiream is often shipped alongside Sonamy, as Tails and Cream are the best friends and sidekicks of Sonic and Amy, respectively, and Sonamy has mainstream popularity and canon implications.
Since Cream and Tails are a rabbit and a fox like Judy and Nick from Disney’s Zootopia are, the Disney film has inspired Taiream fans to portray them as the laters for fun.
SEGA has acknowledged the shipping of Taiream, as some fan art was featured in a YouTube livestream published in 2020 on the official Sonic The Hedgehog YouTube Channel.
