FinnPoeReyRose is the poly ship between Poe Dameron, Rey, Finn, and Rose Tico from the Star Wars fandom.

Canon[]

Finn, Poe, Rey, and Rose are all members of the Resistance against the First Order. Finn is a former stormtrooper, Poe is an ace pilot, Rey is a Jedi in training, and Rose is a mechanic. They are all without family members, which is a major thing they have in common. Finn and Rey don't know who their family is, as they were either abandoned or stolen at very young ages. Poe's mother died when he was a child, and his relationship with his father is strained. Rose lost her sister in the Resistance's evacuation of D'Qar.

Finn and Poe first meet aboard the Finalizer, where Finn helps Poe stage an escape. They crash land on Jakku, but are seperated. There, Finn meets Rey. Finn and Rey work together to bring down Starkiller Base, while Poe participates in the battle from the sky. Afterwards, Rey leaves to seek out the missing Luke Skywalker. Following their evacuation from D'Qar, Finn accidentally meets Rose while she is mourning the loss of her sister. Rose had previously met Poe through their mutual work in the Resistance.

During the Battle of D'Qar, Finn, Rose, and Poe work together in an attempt to form a coup and overthrow the leadership of Vice Admiral Holdo. While this is occurring, Rey is training with Luke Skywalker and battling Kylo Ren. The four of them reconvene for the Battle of Crait, with Rey arriving to the rescue in the Millennium Falcon. Finn and Rey share an intense hug upon their reunion. Later, as the Resistance makes their retreat from Crait, Rey officially meets Poe for the first time. Rose, unfortunately, is unconscious from the battle. Her first meeting with Rey is never explicitly shown.

Between the events of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, the four characters get to know each other more. Rose, Rey, and Poe are sent on a mission to retrieve supplies for the Resistance, and end up mixed up in another planet's fight against the First Order.

Some time later, the Resistance receives a coded message. Poe announces to everyone that the message reveals that Sheev Palpatine has returned. Rey realizes that she needs to look for a Sith Wayfinder, and tries to leave on her own to search for it. Finn, however, stops her and says that he and Poe will accompany her on the mission. Finn invites Rose to join them, but Rose declines as she has another important mission from Leia Organa that she needs to complete.

The four are reunited at the Battle of Exegol, with Rey facing off against Palpatine, Poe leading the air strike team, and Rose joining the ground team led by Finn.

The most interactions that Finn, Poe, Rey, and Rose have together occur in the non-canonical Lego Specials released to Disney+ following the events of The Rise of Skywalker.

In The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, the four are together to celebrate Life Day. Finn struggles with his newfound Force powers, and Rey struggles with trying to be the right teacher for him. They are interrupted by Poe and Rose, who enter the Millennium Falcon and announce that they need to prepare for Life Day. The group struggle to prepare tip-yip for Chewbacca's family's celebration, but Rose encourages Poe to give it a try. While Rey is busy doing research on the Jedi, the other three set up the party. Finn admits that he misses Rey and feels her lack of presence. Still, Finn, Rose, and Poe do all they can to put on the best party possible. Rey returns to them just in time to enjoy the celebrations.

Fanon[]

Shipping combinations between the characters of Finn, Rey, and Poe became popular immediately after the release of The Force Awakens. When Rose was introduced in The Last Jedi and shared scenes of a romantic nature with Finn, some fans were excited to throw her into the mix with JediStormPilot and create a four person relationship. However, some other fans were less enthused and saw Rose as a character that was either replacing Rey (because Disney didn't want fans shipping a black man with a white woman) or replacing Poe (because Disney didn't want fans shipping two men). Her almost complete lack of screen time in The Rise of Skywalker didn't help matters either, and actually caused the ship to drop even further in popularity.

Fans of FinnPoeReyRose were incredibly disappointed by the lack of interactions between the four characters in The Rise of Skywalker, and were even more disappointed by the lack of screen time for Rose. They had hoped that the four would play a major role in the film, much like HanLeiaLukeLando in the Original Trilogy. The lack of any real canon material set after The Rise of Skywalker is disappointing as well, as fans are desperate to see Finn, Poe, Rey, and Rose interact in any meaningful way.

While some fans enjoy shipping all four characters in a poly relationship, others prefer to see them as a "double date" couple. This typically occurs with Finnpoe and RoseRey, although it can occur in other combinations as well. Some even like to add Zorii Bliss or Jannah, characters introduced in The Rise of Skywalker into the poly pairing as well.

There are currently over 70 works on AO3 for the poly version of this ship. There are slightly more works for the platonic variation, with over 120. FFFN has 25 works that are tagged with all four characters, although they are not explicitly tagged as a poly pairing.
