Flashy Oil is the non-binary ship between Orange Flash and Slick from the Starlight Express fandom.

Orange Flash and Slick rarely interact in the show. But they do participate in several group numbers together, namely "Pumping Iron" and "The Rap". As everyone is figuring out who to race with, Orange Flash skates over to Slick. The two have a quick talk, and seem to agree to race together. Flash taking Slick's hand as they skate off, before Slick switches to grabbing onto her couplers. Later, Flash joins Greaseball during her meeting with Slick, and is supportive of her paying off Slick to crash Rusty. Flash also bringing forward some of the cash Greaseball was paying to Slick.

Flashy is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to the two not interacting often within the show. Some fans ship the two based on Marianthe (Orange Flash) and Emily (Slick) being in TikToks while dressed as their characters together. Making some fans get the idea to ship them together. As well as some of the minor interactions fans have seen when re-watching the show. Its rival ships include Arson Girlfriends and SleepingFlash.

Some fans believe that the two may have hooked up at some point prior to the show. Or that Orange Flash may have been the connection between Greaseball and Slick. With them being the one to have introduced to each other. There's also the possibility of Slick previously being Flash's racing partner, but getting kicked to the curb for Tassita. Or that she's Flash's fuel truck when they're working.

Like many Slick pairings, post crash fics are common. With Flash visiting Slick in the repair shed after her crash to check on her and make sure she was okay. With them staying by her side as she recovers. Some fans like the idea of the relationship being unrequited, with either Flash or Slick not being into the other. With this being the reason they ended up not racing together despite leaving together after Coda of Freight.

On AO3, Flashy Oil is the fourth most written ship for both Slick and Orange Flash. There are currently 3 written works.
