FlipFlaky is the non-binary ship between Flippy and Flaky from the Happy Tree Friends fandom.
Canon[]
In Flippy's debut episode, Hide and Seek, they are seen playing a game of Hide and Seek, Flippy was seeking but then he hears a woodpecker, and it reminds him of war so then he kills everyone including Flaky.
In This is Your Knife, Flaky was camping with Giggles and Cuddles, Flippy walks by, and Cuddles invites him to sit down with them. Flippy sees a fire and then gets PTSD and kills everyone. Flaky tried hiding in a camping bag but then Fliqpy threw her into the fire, killing her in the process
In Without a Hitch, Flaky needs to pick up Flippy to bring him somewhere, In Flaky's head, she is imagining multiple ways that He would kill her due to past experiences. These ways are: Causing her to smell cheese, which causes her to stick her head out the window, in which he pulls the window up, decapitating her in the process. The second way was him pulling her eye out with a lug wrench and then making her the tire rims. The third way was him cutting her face off with a knife. What actually happened was Flaky getting a flat tire, Flippy fixes it, and then when Flaky crashes, he tries saving her by cutting the seat belt but Flaky thought that he was going to murder her, so she stabs his eye with a shard of glass, causing him to run into Lumpy's truck.
In Happy Trails Part 2 - Jumping the Shark, they get stuck on a deserted island after their bus crashed. Lifty and Shifty pull out an inflatable raft, however, Flaky's quills end up deflating the raft causing Lifty and Shifty to get eaten by a shark. Everyone when they got back to shore including Flippy end up killing her.
In Keepin' it Reel, while Fliqpy was murdering everyone, including Flaky, who he uses as a tool to kill Cuddles with.
In By the Seat of Your Pants, Flippy hears a gunshot, and he kills everyone including Flaky in a second.
In Party Animal, Flaky is seen preparing a party for Flippy with the help of Nutty, Cuddles, Toothy, The Mole, and Sniffles. Flippy arrives and they celebrate, Flaky offers him the spatula to get a slice of cake, he turns into Fliqpy for a second, but then turns back, later, when Nutty accidentally throws nuts into Flaky's mouth, causing her to inflate, and then proceeds to pop all the balloons and then turns Flippy into Fliqpy, oddly enough, Fliqpy never kills Flaky, he even saw her, The Mole accidentally popped her leading to his and her death.
In Random Acts of Silence, Flaky was checking out a book and Flippy (as Fliqpy) was the librarian, he grabs Nutty's hand and uses it as a stamp. Another instance where Fliqpy (possibly) didn't kill Flaky.
Some similarities between them are:
- Both of their names start with Fl and end with Y.
- They both have peanut allergies.
- They both have had deaths where they got rammed by one of Lumpy's vehicles.
Fanon[]
FlipFlaky is one of, if not, the most popular ship in Happy Tree Friends, surpassing even official in-show pairs such as Gigdles and Hantunia. It's unknown where the ship really started, though, we can assume it started around 2008 or so. The most likely reason why the ship was so popular was that Flaky & Flippy were basically opposite. As Flaky is known for being scared almost all the time, while Flippy is known for being menacing (especially if he flips outs into Fliqpy). In fan works, Flippy is normally portrayed as a really overprotective person and Flaky being a weak and shy girl. Sometimes in fan works, Flaky joins the army with Flippy.
