Floofbuddy is the non-binary ship between Floofty Fizzlebean and the Journalist from the Bugsnax fandom.
Canon[]
The Journalist meets Floofty fairly early on within the game and is immediately drawn into one of their experiments. Floofty instantly shows distaste towards them, judging them because of their occupation. Despite their dislike for journalists, Floofty still trusts them enough to help with their research. When their investigations go well, Floofty tells the Journalist they look forward to working with them again. They then leave, locking themselves in Boiling Bay.
When the Journalist finally gains access to that area later in the game, Floofty scolds them for taking so long. They then quickly ask the Journalist for further assistance in their research. They come across as impatient, but are impressed with the Journalist's work and thank them for their help. After returning to Snaxburg, Floofty sends the Journalist a letter thanking them for their help, and gifts them a flower. After the Journalist assists Floofty with their personal side quest, they send them another letter apologizing for being impolite with them. This letter comes with another gift.
Floofty initially refuses to take part in an interview, but the Journalist can compliment them, which makes them give in. In the final battle, Floofty asks the Journalist to help them fend off the snax. During the fight, Floofty compliments and encourages the Journalist.
In the DLC, The Journalist continues to aid Floofty's research. They are also able to convince Floofty to accept the help of others, which is something no one else has been able to do.

While they share no romantic interactions in-game, this is still a semi-popular ship within the fandom.
The Journalist is the first person to which Floofty admits their flaws, acknowledging that they are hard to work with. They are also shown to respect the Journalist, which may be due to their constant willingness to help them with their experiments. The Journalist rarely argues against following Floofty's instructions, despite knowing how dangerous they can be.
