Canon[]
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
When Ruby recovers Flower with the Hand-powered Recovery Center, Gelatin throws a freeze juice syringe at her and tells Ruby not to recover her again. At night, Flower tries to poison Gelatin using a bug for payback. However, he reveals that he is immune to bug poison and insults Flower for being dumb enough not to know. He freezes her again and walks away.
Battle for BFDI[]
Gelatin and Flower are both stuck on a hill with lava surrounding them. When Gelatin says that there isn't enough room, Flower agrees and pushes him off the hill. Gelatin screams in pain from sinking into the lava as Flower makes herself more comfortable being trapped on the hill.
Battle for BFB[]
After Bubble and Lollipop fail to trick the other team by impersonating Flower, Gelatin does so as well but Firey believes that it's actually her. The real Flower tries to point it out to him but Firey doesn't believe her. When Firey thinks that her petals were bought off of one of Gelatin's stores, Flower denies it and says she would shop at a more fashionable store anyways. Gelatin twists her words by making it seem she did get them from a store nonetheless and convinces her team that she's Dora. Flower is kicked out of her team's tower as Gelatin continues to work undercover.
When Flower presents her fashion line to the other contestants, Gelatin calls them so ugly that he's getting nightmares while still being awake. Later, Gelatin wears one of Flower's sweaters anyways to avoid being kicked up in the air like Blocky was for insulting them.
Asking where the new stairs lead, Flower finds out from Four that they're right in front of the archaic temple and Gelatin asks how she didn't notice it at first. When the contestants enter the temple, Gelatin calls it spacious and moist. Flower figures that the temple may be soaked with vomit and as this disgusts Gelatin, she promotes her vomit-repelling sweaters. When asking around if anyone wants to buy some, Gelatin and everyone else declines. Later while Flower is trying to catch a totem running from her, Gelatin snatches it from her and takes it to give to Four. As it takes days for Flower to still find a totem in the temple, Gelatin complains about how long it's taking her.
After Woody stops Flower from letting her share his final moments with her, Gelatin interrupts Flower so he can get his cake from Four for being safe.
Now with the two being part of the final four competitors left, Flower asks Teardrop, Leafy, and Gelatin how they'll escape the World's Largest Oven for the challenge. Teardrop drags Leafy and Gelatin away and Flower gets the idea that they don't want to work with her. Gelatin is initially excited to gang up on Flower so that their alliance can move onto the final three. However, he becomes annoyed when Leafy promptly invites Flower into the alliance.
When Flower recalls having a memory of a powerful being hating the idea of competitions having three hosts, Gelatin thinks she's just making it up. Flower points out how the show is starting to have too many hosts and when Leafy adds that they've been needing to relocate a lot, Gelatin starts to become convinced but still finds what Flower said about someone powerful silly. A message lands on Gelatin's face and when Flower asks what it says, Gelatin figures that someone wants them to come outside of the bus they're riding. Flower is confused since the person who left the message had to have known the bus had a hole in its roof and dropped the letter through it. When Gelatin thinks that said person wants to make a grand entrance, Flower says that she's the only one around who can do so and exits the bus to approach the person, later revealed to be the Announcer. In the season's final challenge, Flower and Gelatin agree to help each other with challenge 3, the swingset portion of the challenge. When they finish, the two move onto challenge 4 and both use the Four plush already on the table as their entries. In challenge 8, Flower correctly guesses Announcer's favorite number but when Gelatin says the same number she said, the Announcer says it's wrong. Later in challenge 23 when Flower doesn't remember how Four was freed from jail, Gelatin does and calls it easy. Flower mentions how quickly Gelatin caught up to her as Gelatin calls himself Speedy Gelatin, wishing that this nickname catches on to the others. In challenge 24 when Gelatin throws some sand as his "party", Flower yells at him for not actually making a party. In challenge 25, Gelatin finds that Flower had already completed it by finding a rock instead of a totem. In challenge 27, the final one, Flower asks if the ladders inside the oven are secured into the ground although Gelatin, calling himself Danger Gelatin, doesn't care. Gelatin, Flower, and Teardrop all begin urgently climbing the ladders in hopes of getting immunity into the final two. Gelatin asks Teardrop to work with him on knocking Flower off and as her ladder starts to tilt, it bumps into Teardrop and Gelatin's ladders. This causes both Gelatin and Teardrop to get knocked out and Flower says bye to them as she continues climbing up hers.
After getting a bronze medal from the Announcer, Flower asks Gelatin if she's jealous that her fashion line was invested in and hopes to open a store with the money. Unimpressed, Gelatin responds that he owns a steakhouse chain, giving Flower the idea of having her place be a skyscraper to try to one-up him. After Teardrop's elimination, Flower and Gelatin are the final two of Battle for BFDI. However, the Announcer cancels the show and Flower figures out that the season's budget is tremendously low. Gelatin is hopeful that they can still save the show with the $300 they have left and wants to raise more. In a variety show hosted by Purple Face in hopes of raising the budget, he interviews Gelatin and Flower for being the season's finalists. While Purple Face asks Gelatin questions that allow him to tell stories about his experience, Flower is asked questions that are in Purple Face's favor. Flower grows angry at Purple Face and demands that she gets the same questions that Gelatin is getting. After an outrage from Flower, Purple Face tries to get Gelatin to sing a song introducing a segment meant to torture Flower. Later when Gelatin gets applause from the crowd for sharing different ways to pronounce his name, Flower pushes him aside and tries to do the same but is booed by the audience. As the cast becomes to stylistically decrease due to the shrinking budget, Gelatin remembers that Flower has $50,000 and brings it up to her. Although Flower is hesitant to give up the money she's been hoping to put into her business, she reluctantly agrees to save the show with it. Afterwards, Gelatin reassures a disappointed Flower that she can expand her business some time soon. When he mentions the idea of working together to build a business, Flower is appreciative of his support and congratulates him for making it to the final two. The two give each other a fist bump. At night, the two wish each other good luck on winning the season. When Flower wonders when Four will return after being gone for a while, the ground begins to shake and Gelatin gets concerned that Flower just caused someting to happen. Flower starts to panic and says she didn't mean to do anything right as a crack in the ground opens between them. The two are left confused after the ground stops shaking.
After the ground stops shaking, the cracks form in the shape of a face as Four's voice warns them to leave him alone. Flower quickly apologizes and after the ground reverts back to normal, Gelatin figures it's over and wants to end the episode as is. After Flower calls Gelatin to help and runs off, he follows her shortly afterwards. The two try to bring the news to the Announcer but he shushes them so they can get on with the finale. After gathering all of the eliminated contestants, he shows off the Grand Cake for the season to which Gelatin and Flower are weirded out by. Afterwards, he asks each of the eliminated contestants on who they think should win. Getting a tie of seven to seven from them, the Announcer calls for a drumroll and reveals the true winner of the season. Flower, with 48,891 votes, beat Gelatin with his 28,240 votes and is congratulated by the Announcer for winning the season. Gelatin is bummed out for a brief moment but is honored to be the runner-up as the two congratulate each other for playing a good game. When the Carrot Cake from the Grand Cake delivers a happy thought to Flower, she envisions Gelatin winning the season and her congratulating him from there. As Firey is curious as to what Flower's happy thought was, she shares that she feels happy to win but also thought it would've been cool if Gelatin won. When she gets the idea to share a prize with Gelatin, Firey states that she has an opportunity to do so and whether she does or not is up to her. Flower finds Gelatin and after he congratulates her agian for the win, Flower shares that she thinks he's won in many separate ways as well. She explains that he made a strong alliance throughout the season and grew close with much of the competitors, leading Gelatin to realize there's a victory in everything. When Flower hands him the BFB, one of her three prizes for winning, Gelatin is in disbelief and says that she's the one who won. While Flower is glad that she did win the show, she thinks Gelatin is more deserving of the BFB prize. Gelatin's voice starts to break and thanks Flower for giving it to him as the two hug. He and Lollipop play around with the BFB prize and look back at their past moments with it. After Gelatin later uses the BFB prize to convince Four to trust them again, he brings it to Four's awareness that Flower won despite the bet Four placed on Gelatin winning. When the contestants are reunited, Flower is happy that Gelatin was able to make Four feel better and he thanks Flower for giving him the BFB which ended up being useful on saving Four. Flower wishes they teamed up sooner and calls her and Gelatin a good combination, which he agrees with. As Gelatin reads a book he made reflecting the season, he mentions how he got to open up a shared steakhouse and fashion store business with Flower. After Flower says farewell to Leafy and Firey who are off to find their own Dream Island, Gelatin invites Flower to participate as a guest for Blocky and Woody's new show. Flower accepts the offer and as Gelatin runs to do so, Flower follows him.
Fanon[]
Flowertin as a ship is somewhat rare in the Battle for Dream Island fandom overall. Most of the fan art reflects off of the two's accomplishments throughout the fourth season, Battle for BFB, since the two were the finalists of the season. Since the two grew much closer within the last episodes of the season, fans were expecting the ship to take off especially after the release of the season finale. The ship has gained a small following mainly on DeviantArt and video sharing platforms afterwards, while a good amount of fans enjoy the friendship that resulted in the two being finalists. The ship is rivaled by the two's more popular romantic pairings such as Floweruby and Gelapop.
On AO3, there are four works under their tag.
