- “You're not really human, are you? No. You're empty inside just like me.”
- — Flowey to Frisk after leaving the ruins during genocide
Flowisk is the friendship between Flowey and Frisk from the Undertale fandom.
Canon[]
Flowey is the very first monster the protagonist meets right after falling into the underground. Flowey acts as a friendly face and battle tutorial, advising the protagonist to collect his "friendliness pellets" with the heart symbol representing their SOUL. Should the protagonist do what Flowey told them to do, Flowey will immediately drop the act to call them an "idiot" when the protagonist gets hurt by him. He then claims that this world requires you to either kill or be killed and then traps the protagonist's SOUL in a circle attack, trying to kill them with no way to dodge. However, another monster named Toriel witnesses this and throws a fireball at Flowey, comforting the child by healing their wounds and then taking them to her home for their own safety. Depending on whether the protagonist has killed to get out of the Ruins, Flowey will either chide them for ignoring his rules about killing or call them selfish for sparing Toriel after killing other monsters. However, Flowey mocks them when finding out that the protagonist killed Toriel to escape and almost sounds proud when the requirements for a Genocide route are met.
There are also multiple ways to mess with Flowey, either by resetting the game just after his introduction or dodging the bullets to signify that the protagonist already knows that Flowey is evil.
Neutral Route[]
Flowey will follow them around after the Ruins, but will bury himself into the ground when discovered.
Regardless if the protagonist chose to spare or kill Asgore when fighting him, Flowey will kill Asgore anyway. He absorbed the six human SOULs Asgore had bottled and then immediately kills the protagonist either by crashing or restarting the game. When the protagonist returns, they find out that Flowey had completely rewritten the world in their absence by overwriting their file. When they tried to SAVE, they find out that their save files have been corrupted by Flowey, who gloats about the protagonist "helping" him to kill Asgore and gaining control over the six SOULs. Flowey states that he needs the seventh SOUL, the protagonist's to obtain full godlike power, locking them into a hopeless battle to kill them. Even trying to reset to a prior save file won't do anything, Flowey had supposedly deleted them and plans to SAVE the moment the protagonist dies so they could never come back.
Flowey appears as "Photoshop Flowey" after harnessing the power of the SOULs, a mechanical abomination with a TV displaying his face for a head and thorny vines as arms. Flowey made sure that the protagonist couldn't fight back in any way, so they have to resort to dodging his attacks to survive until an opportunity to fight back appears. Should the protagonist die in this fight, Flowey will mock them by telling them that "this is all just a bad dream" in Asgore's voice, only to finish with the statement that they will never wake up from it and laugh maniacally.
Inbetween Flowey's regular attacks, which are just enhanced versions of his regular bullets, he will also channel the power of one of the SOULs a few times. However, what Flowey did not anticipate is that the SOULs will offer the protagonist the option to call for help, when reaching it, their attacks turn green and heal the protagonist instead when hit. Doing this six times, one for each SOUL, will inspire hope in the protagonist and finally give them the option to fight back.
The SOULs will then leave Flowey as the protagonist is tasked to attack Flowey on their own. However, they will heal the protagonist fully and lower Flowey's defense to zero to actually give them a chance to win this fight. During the fight, independent green projectiles join Flowey's attacks, implied to be the SOULs healing the protagonist. Flowey will pretend to be in pain at first, but will sound genuinely hurt when his HP drops below half of it. When the protagonist completely reduces Flowey's HP to zero, Flowey will panic over the protagonist defeating him, but then he will reload File 3 to restore his health and reveal that he was trolling the protagonist the entire time. Flowey will then unleash a devastating attack that destroys the protagonist's SOUL instantly, reloading it at least 30 times just to mock them. When he's done playing, he traps the protagonist in a familiar circle of bullets, saving the moment to make sure the protagonist does not come back.
Just for kicks, Flowey then offers the protagonist to call for help, but doing so will only result in Flowey taunting them that "nobody came". However, when Flowey closes the circle onto the protagonist's SOUL, touching one of the bullets will lead to it healing the protagonist instead. Flowey is shocked and tries to reload, only to find out that his save file suddenly doesn't load anymore. The human SOULs then circle around Flowey, destroying his form while he screams. When the protagonist meets Flowey again, he's back to being a regular talking flower, the protagonist is now given the choice to either spare or kill him.
Killing him will only result in him getting the last laugh, as he mocks the protagonist for "knowing" that they had it in them. Sparing him will give him an existential crisis as Flowey couldn't comprehend why the protagonist would be so nice to him after everything he did. Even after Flowey threatens to kill everyone the protagonist loves, the protagonist stays determined to help Flowey, but Flowey doesn't want to understand and runs away.

Given their status as the protagonist and antagonist of the game, people are naturally drawn to depicting them together. However, many fans like to keep it platonic.
A common theme in fanwork focusing on them is Frisk trying to teach Flowey how to love without a soul.
