Forsyth believes that Python is slacking off during battle training, and reprimands him as a result. He states that Python is "Not even pretending to try" and asks him if he has any shame. Python responds by praising the rest of the army, and as soon as Forsyth is about to lecture Python, he makes up a lie about an approaching enemy and escapes Forsyth. Forsyth responds at first by attempting to call Python back over, but deeply sighing stating he "does not get it". This interaction is particularly noteworthy, as it shows Forsyth's concern for Python's progress.

Forsyth starts off very angry at Python, as he makes a joke about being harassed by Forsyth, while referring to him as an "it". Forsyth lectures Python for not taking anything seriously enough, in which he responds by saying he is more effective overall by not taking things seriously. Forsyth proceeds to tell him that he is well aware that he lives his life doing the bare minimum in all tasks, and sympathetically tells him his life is likely horribly empty, making a despaired face. Python tells him to stop seeing him as miserable and to try being carefree for a change, and he responds by saying he can benefit by caring less. Python makes fun of him for this, and Forsyth yells at him for his contradiction, while Python laughs.

Forsyth starts off by sadly sighing, and Python asks him what's wrong, as he hasn't yelled at him like he usually does. He points out that he never yells at him anymore about not trying hard enough anymore, and he expressed concerns of Forsyth "giving up". Forsyth dodges the question, by saying he hasn't given up, rather, that he doesn't understand Python's excuses for not trying. Python says that he's not trying to understand him, and states that he doesn't have a dream, as he's not happy with them. Forsyth sighs again, saying that it sounds depressing, but accepts. He then asks Python to help in battle, to which he agrees to, and even promises to try as hard as he can.

If Forsyth dies, Python's ending states that he goes on to be a knight, as if he was possessed by the spirit of Forsyth, Python unfortunately dies not too long after.
If Python dies, it is said that Forsyth is left empty due to his death, and goes on to marry a woman to never visit the capitol again.
If both survive Forsyth joins the One Kingdom's knights after the war and time took off some of his more caustic edges. Python is also offereda knighthood but he chose a quieter life as head of a frontier militia that defended villages and towns from brigands. Forsyth would visit now and then, often with a bottle the two would use to while the night away.

Forsython has rapidly grown amongst the Fire Emblem Echoes community, quickly rising to be one of the most popular ships. Fan content usually depicts Forsyth as a serious warrior, constantly urging Python to fight alongside him, while Python is apathetic and lazy, but carries devoted love for Forsyth. Fans usually ship Forsython due to the pre-implied long-lasting friendship between the pair. Forsython fits into the "Opposites attract" trope, due to the pair having conflicting personalities, one being energetic and ambitious, and the other being lazy and carefree. Fanon interpretations of the ship also portray Python as a joker, while Forsyth is serious, and despises jokes.
