Fournut is the non-binary ship between Four and Donut from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Battle for BFDI[]
Donut angrily asks Four, calling him a murder, what he wants and gets screeched by him. However, Donut and the rest of the future contestants of BFB are excited by the prize that Four offers for the show.
During the season's first Cake at Stake, Donut interrupts Four to explain to the voters that they must be careful with how they vote and shows examples of votes that were not counted. Four and X are irritated by this and fling him away back to his team.
At his team's Cake at Stake ceremony, Donut is the only one present out of his team at the area. Four asks him where the rest of the team is as Donut points Four's attention to them climbing Bell's string. Donut later reminds Four that he forgot to play the Cake at Stake song last time, suggesting he play it again to make up for it.
Donut and X are a part of Golf Ball's plan to multiply Four by zero. When the three are all lined up, Golf Ball and her team ride down a sled to push Donut into X and Four. This causes both Four and X to disappear with only Donut remaining afterwards. Golf Ball explains to him and her team that they multiplied Four by "zero", with Donut functioning as the zero. The contestants later decide that Donut should take over hosting duties of the competition since he now has Four's powers.
During the quiz show challenge, Donut tries to screech Saw by using an audio recording of Four. When Gaty says that it has no effect due to it being a recording, Donut tries it for himself and ends up passing out from the screech.
While the contestants try to bring Four back, Firey stabs Donut with a syringe thinking that Four could be inside. To Firey's surprise, this works as Four is sucked up into the syringe from inside Donut.
Donut gets annoyed from Four and X arguing over who was the one between the two to tell a bad joke.
At Team Ice Cube!'s second Cake at Stake, Four announces Donut fourth safe of the team. Four launches soup to give to Donut but it goes through his mouth and hits Gelatin.
At the next Cake at Stake when Gelatin acts rude, Donut yells at Gelatin to act more polite towards Four. Donut is then announced the last one safe after Gelatin. When the contestants choose between staying with Four in BFB or switching to Two's new show, Donut switches over and leaves Four.
The Power of Two[]
Donut is part of the group of contestants that realize Four brought back the original BFDI prize after taking it away. He agrees with Fanny when she says that Four has betrayed their trust and may just change the prize once more.
When Four and X reveal themselves to be the chefs of the hotel kitchen, Donut gasps and calls them David and Dora.
Four, along with the various contestants around him, helps Yellow Face with feeding a gumball to Donut.
During a zombie infestation, Donut tries to get Four and X to help them by kicking on the kitchen door. He notices a note left on the door that informs him that the two are away for a kitchen-bonding retreat, much to his shock.
Donut looks back at the time where he had Four's powers within him and uses it to comfort Barf Bag when she feels guilty for letting liquids transform her mindset from inside.
Fandom[]
Fournut was mainly prevalent through the fandom during the run of the fourth season BFB. Both Four and Donut served as hosts for BFB, whereas Four was the main host while Donut took over for Four's absence for a few episodes. This was the main basis of pairing the two together during this time, with its prime being on Tumblr through 2018-2020. Unlike many of the host x contestant ships in the fandom, Donut technically served as both a host and a contestant of BFB, justifying the ship more to certain fans. The ship ran its course along with Donut's ship with co-host X, Xnut, although some preferred it over Fournut because Donut got along better with X in the show. Nonetheless, some fans at the time even chose to put all three hosts in the 4xnut poly ship. Other pairings that rival these host and contestant ships include 4x and Barfnut.
