Foxamus is the het ship between Fox McCloud and Samus Aran from the Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Canon[]
Both are space travelers and associated with their world's military, but Samus is a bounty hunter and Fox is a mercenary. Samus prefers to work alone while Fox is the leader of his own team. Both have their own spaceships, the Gunship and the Arwing respectively.
Super Smash Bros.[]
Fox and Samus are not only both veterans, but they are also part of the base roster, they don't need to be unlocked.
Super Smash Bros. Melee[]
Samus is one of Fox's potential partners in scripted team battles (the other options are Falco, Donkey Kong and Captain Falcon, the latter of which Samus shares).
In Event Match 20, "All-Star Match 2", Fox and Samus are two of five opponents the player has to defeat on a time limit.
In Event Match 36, "Space Travelers", the player controls Ness and has to defeat Samus, Kirby, Fox, Captain Falcon and Falco. Samus and Fox (and Kirby) are all fought on Fourside.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
In Event Match 23, "Molten Norfair", the player controls Samus and has to get her into a safety capsule to escape Norfair's lave, all while Captain Falcon and Fox are pursuing her.
The Subspace Emissary[]
Fox and Samus are both major characters in the story, but they do not cross paths until close to the end. When Meta Knight reclaims the Halberd from the Subspace Army, Fox and his allies meet up with Samus and hers. Together, they board the Halberd and prepare an attack against the Subspace Gunship, only to blasted away with it with a single hit. However, they were prepared and Samus leads an attack formation with the groups own spaceships, including the Arwing. Forcing the Subspace Army into a retreat with the help of Kirby, the two of them and their allies enter Subspace and prepare for a final battle against Tabuu. However, they were no match for him and he turned them all into trophies, with Kirby having swallowed one of Dedede's badges allowing him to transform back by himself, while a trio of unlikely heroes, two of which had badges on their bodies all venture through Subspace to rescue the still transformed heroes and defeat a weakened Tabuu.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS[]
On Fox's page on smashbros.com, there's an official screenshot of him using a spin kick against Kirby and Samus.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
Zero Suit Samus is the second character of Fox's unlock tree.
In Fox's Classic Mode, "Spacebourne Smash", Samus is his first opponent. She later joins him as Zero Suit Samus in a fight against Dark Samus, his fourth opponent.
In World of Light, should Galeem be victorious in the three way battle against the Smash cast and Dharkon, Fox will stand by Samus and Bowser to witness the world being engulfed in light all over again, this time there's nobody left to save them.
Fanon[]
Foxamus is not that popular of a ship, with a roughly even split between those who depict them romantically and those who keep them platonic. Interestingly, those who do ship them romantically don't change Fox's appearance at all, if anything, they tend to make him shorter.
It is generally agreed that Fox is one of Samus' closest friends on the roster, considering how they've been part of it since the very beginning and that both are space travelers.
Many have noted Fox's absence in Ridley's reveal trailer, wondering what Mario is doing on a space station. The general headcanon is that Fox would've loved to join Samus and Mega Man on their mission, but was too busy with StarLink: Battle for Atlas, thus Mario filled in for him. Some have Fox visiting the trio on their mental and physical recovery and being silently glad that he didn't go.
