Freesmart is the poly ship between Pencil, Match, Bubble, Ruby, Ice Cube and Book from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.

Battle For Dream Island[]
In BFDI, Match, Pencil, and Bubble were part of an alliance started by Bubble in the first episode. Ice Cube attempts to join their alliance, but she ends up knocking them off while running at them to ask, causing Pencil to reject her.
Pin picks Pencil onto her team, rather than Leafy's team, to stop Ice Cube from joining Pencil's alliance. Pencil, despite not being the team leader, picks Bubble and Match to be on the team because of their alliance.
When Pin tells Pencil to go find Blocky, Match and Bubble wait for her because of their alliance. When Match asks what's taking her so long, Bubble tells her that it's only been 5 minutes. After Pencil returns, all 3 alliance members ride on the same sky lift seat.
After Bubble falls off the bridge, Pencil and Match jump off with her because they're part of an alliance.
The contestants are put into groups of 3, and the alliance is picked as one group. Match says she hopes her alliance will be together as a team while Announcer is picking teams, and she high-fives Bubble after being put onto her team. Once Pencil is also picked, she hugs Pencil and Bubble, saying it was a miracle.
When Match points out that they forgot Pencil in the safe, Bubble says they've "got to go back". Match seems happy to get Pencil back, and says that now they have to go super fast to catch up with the other teams. They end up getting 3rd place in the challenge.
After Announcer calls Pencil "Pence-Pence", Match slaps him, saying only she can call Pencil "Pence-Pence".
Coiny notes the alliance when talking about who from the Squishy Cherries the Squashy Grapes are going to take onto their team. When Coiny asks Ice Cube who she wants, she says Pencil.
Match and Pencil talk about when Eraser stepped on a nail, with Pencil saying it was "so hilair", laughing about it with Match. Eraser tells the two to stop talking and to start helping with the puzzle. Match calls him bossy for this.
Pencil says that it's "so cool [they] all got to the final 11!" to Match and Bubble. Match agrees with her, and says it's because they're "so totally like amazing!"
During the challenge, Pencil points out a bush that has two red balls, taking one for herself and giving the other one for Match so they could turn them in and win the challenge. Bubble is upset that she didn't get one. Bubble talks to Match about how mean Blocky is, telling her about how he kicked her and she popped. Pencil calls him a murderer. Later, when Bubble gets a ball, Match and Pencil cheer.
When Match is pulled down after grabbing onto Firey's legs, she calls for Pencil to come and save her. After Pencil is pulled down, she calls out for Bubble. Ice Cube lets them all fall off for "revenge".
After Announcer says that Match, Ice Cube, Rocky, and Tennis Ball were up for elimination in the last episode, Pencil says she hopes none of them voted for "good old Match". At the elimination, Match questions Announcer's choice of fruitcake as the Cake at Stake prize, to which Bubble agrees, saying "nobody likes fruitcake".
Pencil is very upset over Match's elimination, and Match tells her that she has to keep going to win this for the both of them. When Announcer sends her to the TLC with his Laser Powered Teleportation Device, Pencil says that he murdered her. She then asks Bubble what they'll do because Match is gone, and Ice Cube once again asks to be part of their alliance, only this time, Pencil accepts her into the alliance. Bubble points out that Match would be angry if she found on they replaced her, but Pencil says they're only "substituting" her.
Pencil cheers for Match in the eliminated contestant rejoin contest. She tells her to go fast. When Spongy rejoins, Pencil, Bubble, and Ice Cube all walk away, disgusted.
When jumping over the hurdles, Bubble yells out "Alliance power!", but both Pencil and Ice Cube get knocked off when she makes it over.
Pencil tells Bubble not to open the gift from Leafy, warning her that it could be a trap. Bubble says that she can do what she wants, and opens it anyways. In response, Pencil says that she also wants a gift, and Leafy give her Bubble's springy shoes. Ice Cube also recieves a pair. Pencil ends up falling head first, and Ice Cube gets impaled on her point. Bubble steals both pairs of springy shoes from Pencil and Ice Cube.
After they're told they have to partner up, Pencil immediately goes to partner up with Bubble. She tells Ice Cube that she would let her in if she could, but she gets kicked. After Ice Cube tells Leafy that Pencil "wouldn't let her into her alliance", she says that she is part of the alliance, but just not right now.
Pencil yells out "Alliance power!" while throwing her frisbee, and Bubble catches it by jumping with her springy shoes. They do an "air-five", and finish first. When the challenge is over, and their prize is "+200 points", Bubble and Pencil hug.
Bubble says she can't vote out Ice Cube because of their alliance, so she instead votes for Tennis Ball. Pencil also votes for Tennis Ball. When Ice Cube is declared safe, Pencil says that their alliance lives for another day.
Bubble encourages Pencil during the staring contest, saying she could win. She then asks Ice Cube what she thinks Match is doing right now.
After 11 hours of staring, Bubble asks Pencil if her eyes hurt, to which she says no, asking "what's gotten into [her] these days?"
In response to Firey killing Bubble with a laser, Pencil says that she's "seen Bubble pop quite a number of times, but that right there was by far the cruelest", and she kills Firey with the same laser.
Bubble tells Ice Cube that their alliance is now too small because Pencil was eliminated. Later, she asks Ice Cube if they're still in an alliance when she's deciding who to give immunity to, and Ice Cube responds with "no". This is where the alliance ends, as the last remaining member has left.
After Match votes for Bubble, she is slapped by all the contestants, causing her to be lit on fire. Pencil initially votes for Bubble, before changing her answer to Leafy when the crowd is about to slap her too. Ice Cube votes for Leafy.
The original 3 alliance members (Pencil, Match, and Bubble) all ask to be let into Dream Island together, and are all let in.
Once the UFO crashes, Pen says that Match killed someone after she says that she's alive. She worries that it's Pencil, but then says that it was a good thing when Blocky said it was Flower who died.
In the stinger, Pencil tells Match that it would be weird if the first and last word of the series were the same, to which Match replies "Yeah!", referencing the first word being "Yeah".
Battle For Dream Island Again[]
Ice Cube and Pencil are both part of the crowd chasing after Leafy.
Pencil gets mad after Donut picks Match to be on his team, and Match says that her and Pencil have to stick together. Pencil says Donut will "pay for that", releasing the fire from her mouth, which ends up instead lighting Book on fire.
After it's revealed that the contestants can switch teams, Match goes back to Pencil's team. Everyone else also goes over to Pencil's team, leaving Donut alone. When the camera focuses on Donut, changing the shape, Pencil makes it into a tall rectangle shape, saying that's how she likes her screen. Match agrees with her, and they high-five.
After the intro, Ice Cube licks herself, leading to Pencil and Match being disgusted by her, with Match calling her a "hideous menace".
Book and Ice Cube are both picked by Golf Ball to go out and get Yoyleberries. Pencil tells them if they ever come across a "wild Leafy" they need to get away as fast as possible.
Once they meet Evil Leafy in the Evil Forest, Book and Ice Cube run away from her together, along with Spongy. When Golf Ball asks them why they weren't in Yoyleland, Book told her that they were chased out by Evil Leafy, and that Spongy was captured by her. Match celebrates this, but Golf Ball tells her not to celebrate it because Spongy was her teammate.
Match asks Ruby if she wants to join their alliance. In response, Ruby asks about Bubble, as she was part of the alliance. After Pencil tells her that she's dead, she asks about Ice Cube, and Match tells her that she made an "ugly face", so she wasn't part of the alliance anymore. Hearing that, Ruby agrees to join the alliance, and Pencil is happy their alliance is "filled" again.
Match comes up with the idea to bring Bubble back to life by using a bubble-blower, and Pencil agrees with that, saying that she has bubble solution and a "blowing wand". Match is excited to have their original alliance back, but Ruby tries to stop them from bringing Bubble back, saying they "did fine without her" and that they've "got better things to do". When Pencil tells her that she's being weird, Ruby says she's "just trying to save a friend from wasting her effort on things she doesn't need."
After Pencil realizes that her alliance isn't safe yet, she gets worried. Puffball Speaker Box tells her not to worry because they were all safe.
Ruby, Match, and Pencil didn't go into their team's box, with Match saying they "excuse [themselves] from this contest.", and she covers Golf Ball's mouth when she tries to tell her they can't do that.
Ruby confesses to Match and Pencil, who pretend to know what she's talking about before she says it, that she tried to keep Pencil from reviving Bubble because she didn't want to be expelled from the alliance. Match tells her that all 4 of them could be the alliance, and Pencil brings Bubble back. Match asks Bubble if it's good to be back, but she kicks Ruby onto the wall, saying she's "not part of their alliance". Ruby thinks she's being expelled from the alliance and gets upset, but Match tries to reassure her by telling Bubble she's a new alliance member. When Bubble tries to say they can't have 4 alliance members, Pencil says not to believe the book she was getting the information from, because it was written by Golf Ball. Bubble gives Ruby an "apology slap", saying she's still part of the alliance. Ice Cube and Book show up, asking if they could also be part of the alliance, and Pencil says that they can be "alternates".
After Bomby explodes the glass boxes, and glass shards start going flying everywhere, Match tells Bubble to watch out, but she ends up getting popped anyways. When she's telling Tennis Ball about the contestants who died, she mentions Bubble first.
When a frozen Firey falls off of the Eiffel Tower, Match catches him, saying she saved his life. Ruby say's that she's "such a nice person". Once again, when Pencil catches a frozen Gelatin, Ruby's mouth is open in awe.
Both Match and Pencil cheer when Fries reveals that he ate Spongy.
Match says that Gelatin is "so awful at, like, lifesaving" after he's crushed by the Hand Powered Recovery Center, and Pencil agrees with her, saying that he "cut it way too close" and that he needs to work on his timing. They bring Bubble back, but she pops. They recover her again, and Pencil says that she needs to stop dying, saying that she's "just wasting [their] time". Bubble apologizes.
After Ruby recovers Flower, Pencil says she may just have to expel her from her alliance, before immediately saying that she was just kidding.
Ruby asks why they're still battling for Dream Island if Firey won it, and Pencil agrees, bringing up how Leafy stole Dream Island.
In response to Golf Ball putting Pencil into her incinerator for calling her bossy, Match says that she "did not just, like, do that", but she shuts up when Golf Ball threatens to kill her too.
Pin tries to get Bubble to make an alliance with her, but Bubble says she's already in another alliance, referring to Pencil's alliance. As Pin keeps pressing her, she says she'd have to ask her alliance if it's OK to be with her, and she later disagrees with Pin when she claims her alliance is "dead".
Bubble brings Book, Match, Ice Cube, Pencil, and Ruby back with Leafy.
While Pin tries to get Ice Cube and Book to swing with her, Book tells her that she can't because her and Ice Cube are going to Match's dance party. However, Pin keeps trying to get them to swing with her, and, after she accuses Book of being a bad friend who is "controlling" Ice Cube, she speaks up and says she does want to go with Book to Match's dance party.
Ice Cube sits on top of Book while she climbs up the Eiffel Tower to get to the Clubhouse of Awesomeness. Bubble, Pencil, Match, and Ruby are dancing when they get there. Bubble calls the two of them "munchkins", asking if they came to party, and Book says they did, asking Ice Cube if she thinks it's exciting. However, Pencil says that "those monstrosities" can't be in the party, with Bubble questioning why as they are part of their alliance. Pencil says that, because they're alternates, they're not technically part of the alliance, and they would only be members if one of them was eliminated. Match agrees, kicking Book and Ice Cube out of the party.
Pencil comforts Match when she's scared of being eliminated by telling her that Golf Ball is a "bozo brain Bossy Bot", so she wouldn't be safe over her. After a message from a commenter insulting Match is read out, Pencil defends her, saying "don't insult the Match! You are no match, for THE MATCH!"
After Match gets eliminated, she's able to stay in the game because of Pencil's "elimination prevention plan". They both cheer when Match is unable to be flung away into the TLC.
In the first part of BFDIA 5, Get In The Van, Freesmart forms in retaliation to Golf Ball forcing her teammates to promise not to switch to W.O.A.H. Bunch. Match asks if they're a new team now, and Pencil says they are. When asked for team name recommendations, Ice Cube suggests "Revenge!", Ruby suggests "Poopy Mayonnaise!", and Book suggests that they name their team "Freedom" because they formed this team to have their freedom. Pencil says that sounds like "Free-dumb", and instead says they should be "Free-smart". Freesmart cheers.
Match and Bubble both use Gelatin to pose as a tree so they aren't sent back to the TLC by Firey Speaker Box.
Pencil tells Freesmart to shut up and get in the van after Ruby asks what their plan for the challenge is.
Freesmart notices Puffball, and Pencil asks how Team No-Name is passing them.
Book slaps Match when they pass by a library, saying it was "the rules". When Match got mad at her, she said that she could slap her back if they passed a matchstick factory. Ruby asks where all of the peanuts they had in the van went, holding the empty jar, and, when Pencil tells her that she ate them all, Ruby claims she didn't.
As they drive in the van, Freesmart makes it into a snowy taiga, with Pencil pointing out the snow outside. Bubble says Ice cube is "right where [she] belongs", to which Ice Cube replies with "No!".
Ruby and Book start a snowball fight after Ruby throws a snowball at Book. Pencil tells them to stop because, if the snow mixes with the gasoline, it would make glue.
Book says that the Evil Forest looks "eerily familiar" when the Freesmart van passes through it. Pencil points out a canyon, and the Freesmart members start jumping so the van can get over the canyon.
BFDIA 5b is a game where you play as Book, and you meet the other Freesmart members along the way. The game is unfinished, but you can get Match and Ice Cube.
Pencil asks Book if she's joking after she expresses concern for the missing members of Team No-Name, with Match butting in to also laugh at her. She shushes her after she says that she wants to win, implying that it's a good thing their team members are missing because it gives Freesmart a better shot at winning.
Pencil yells at Ruby when she runs into a platform with several buttons and keeps pressing buttons that end up messing things up for Freesmart, such as putting them into a cage, exploding Match and Ice Cube, and killing Pencil. After Pencil asks Ruby if she went to "gem school", Book tells her that "gem school" was only for diamonds. After killing the rest of the Freesmart members, Book tells Ruby that Pencil wanted her to press the purple button.
Ruby and Book, the only Freesmart members left, run away from Evil Leafy, and end up crushing her. Following that, Ruby says they need to recover their dead teammates, only for Book to tell her that the Hand Powered Recovery Center was inside of Evil Leafy, who they crushed. Ruby (supposedly) "dies from sadness", and text on the screen says that "Her best friend Book was unfazed and went on to make billions selling Ruby's remains."
When Coiny brings up his dead teammates, Book also brings up her dead teammates, as well as the dead Team No-Namers, with the Freesmart members being brought up first by her.
Match and Ice Cube show up, and it's revealed that they both survived the explosion, much to Book's surprise. And to Book's dismay, Match puts out the fire on her "head" with Ice Cube, killing her.
Book questions Ruby, saying that she thought she died from sadness. Ruby laughs at her, calling her silly, saying that people can't actually die from sadness. Book says she should've known that. Soon after, Match announces that it's "break time", with Book telling her she didn't know there was a break time. Match says that "every girl needs their break time". Ruby seems excited about it, but Book grows hesitant after Nickel tells Match that her break has gone on for too long. Over the break, Ruby and Match play Spongy Cake.
Book comforts Ruby when she thinks the Hand Powered Hand Powered Recovery Center Creator is going to explode, saying that "self-destruct" has a 50/50 chance of meaning either "explode" or "disappear without a trace". She tells Ruby to stop hallucinating after she starts screaming, because the HPHPRCC didn't explode and everyone was fine.
After Yellow Face tries to bring Spongy back, Match tells him that "most important people come first", and she recovers Pencil. Book recovers Ice Cube, and Ruby recovers Bubble. Freesmart then continues with the challenge.
Ruby asks Pencil if she's sad that the Freesmart Van is gone, to which Pencil responds by asking why she should be sad when she could "be awesome", showing the new Freesmart supervan. Freesmart is very amazed.
Book points out all the bright lights in the "van", to which Pencil responds that it's the Freesmart "supervan", not the Freesmart "van". Bubble says that they don't need an A.C because they have Ice Cube, which upsets her.
When Book points out that they forgot to bring the HPRC with them in the supervan, Pencil reassures her by telling her that they have the Leg Powered Recovery Center built into the supervan. It disappears after Book tries to use her hands on it to test if Pencil was exaggerating or not, and Pencil yells at her. They steal the HPRC with a big magnet.
After Match complains about being bored, with Bubble agreeing, Ruby brings out her minifridge, starting a snowball fight. Pencil tries to get them to stop, warning them about the glue, but they don't. Bubble ends up getting popped.
While driving through the Goiky Canal, the Freesmart members die and recover each other several times as the video fades out.
Before Book can warn them, Bubble and Ruby eat Yoyleberries, both turning metal.
Match slaps Book because they pass a matchstick factory, saying that it's "the rules". Later, after Book says that abandoned cities "give her the creeps", Match tells her that Yoyle Mountain is right up ahead.
As they head out, Ruby gets the HPRC stuck in glue. Pencil assumes Ruby can't move it because she's too weak, so she tries to move it, only to find out that Ruby messed up and got it stuck in the glue. Match yells at Ruby for messing everything up (again). Later, Pencil tells Ruby to stop making mistakes, and she says she will. When she can't get Pencil free from the fish monster, she starts panicking. Team No-Name begins to catch up, making her panic more and ask what they should do, to which Book says that they could kill Pencil and recover her. Freesmart goes over different ways to kill Pencil, deciding to saw her in half. They celebrate once she dies.
Once Freesmart reaches the summit of Yoyle Mountain, they assume they've won and begin to celebrate. After they climb up the Yoyle Needy and reach the actual summit of Yoyle Mountain, Firey Speaker Box tells them that they've (unfortunately, according to him) won. He sends Match and Bubble, who Pencil tried to give tips on acting like a tree to, back to the TLC.
Ruby asks Pencil if she's "craving any berries", and Pencil responds that she better stop before she kicks her out of Freesmart. Ruby then goes on to ask Book who agrees to have the Yoyleberries, which Ruby shoves into her mouth, turning her metal.
Pencil says that she's sad that Match and Bubble were taken away from Freesmart, but says that they did have it coming because they were "non-contestants".
When Pencil gathers up Freesmart and tells them to get in the supervan, Ruby says that she loves the supervan. Freesmart is very excited to go check out the Pillow Marketplace, as suggested by Ruby. Notably, Ruby calls Pencil "Pence-Pence" here, the nickname Match used to use for her, and she doesn't address it, even giving Ruby her own nickname of "Rubster".
Ice Cube is put into the trunk of the supervan by Pencil because of the noises the headphones, put forcefully onto her by Needle, were making. She declares that she wants revenge, like she always does.
Throughout the challenge, Pencil ends up driving the supervan in circles for way too long, and, when they eventually find out where the Pillow Marketplace is, they have to get balloons (as suggested by Pencil) to make the supervan float. Ruby says "Freesmart for the win!", and when Book asks about Ice Cube's headphone noises sounding distorted, she tells her she's just hearing things, when in reality it was Ice Cube tampering with the headphones.
Sarcastically, Pencil says she'd "love" for Ruby to take her out for dinner at the filtration plant, which Ruby agrees to.
Freesmart worries about losing the challenge when they get stuck underwater, with Book pointing out that they can't fall asleep underwater. Pencil, assuming they won't make it, says she would've apologized to Ice Cube for sticking her in the trunk, saying that they should've stuck together as a team.
During the fight with W.O.A.H. Bunch, Book says that they "literally glued the worst headphones ever onto [their] dear friend Icy", before hugging her, with Ice Cube agreeing with what she has to say about the headphones.
Book stops Freesmart's fight with W.O.A.H. Bunch by reminding them that the challenge was to get the best sleep, not to kill each other. Ruby gives her blankets and pillows she stole to Freesmart, telling them all goodnight. After being woken up by a scary story from W.O.A.H. Bunch, though, they get stuck on the pipe with Evil Leafy going between the 2 teams. This is stopped by Ice Cube, who grabs balloons from the supervan and ties them to her teammates.
Ice Cube plays a lullaby for her team, with Book saying it's the "most soothing lullaby [she's] ever heard" and Pencil saying that Ice Cube's ability to rewire the headphones was impressive. She also says that she should consider Ice Cube a more valuable member of Freesmart. Freesmart falls asleep up in the air while listening to Ice Cube's lullaby.
In the stinger, Freesmart discusses their video diary (from IDFB). Pencil compliments Ice Cube, saying that she's glad she's on her team.
More of Freesmart's video diary is shown (at this point they are on "Day 20"), with Book mistakingly talking to "Bubbleface" and Pencil talking to "Matchy", saying how they would wish upon the stars that they would win Dream Island.
The episode mostly focuses on Freesmart being tormented by Firey and Gelatin as they refuse to tell them the challenge. Ruby kills her teammates when Firey tells her to, and they question why she would do that. She says it was for the challenge.
Freesmart are walking together through the blown up ruins of the Aerospace Manufacturing Plant. They walk to the Clubhouse of Awesomeness for Cake at Stake, with Book pointing out to Ice Cube that they were kicked out the last time they were there (referring to BFDIA 5a), and she says that Match is no longer there to exclude them.
During the challenge, their team's bucket of paint is knocked into a satellite dish, with the rest of the paint being in Pencil's paint gun. After Pencil and Ruby are knocked off of the tower (and killed), Book worries that they have no more paint, so they can't do the challenge. With Book's help, Ice Cube dips the tip of the Eiffel Tower into the satellite dish, covering it in Freesmart's pink paint. They win first place in the challenge, high-fiving afterwards.
Island Dream for Battle/IDFB[]
Freesmart are on top of the Yoyle Needy recording their video diary. It is revealed that Ruby kept the lens cap on throughout the whole thing, and Pencil gets mad at her, asking how she's supposed to trust her as her "camera gem" if she does things like that. When Ruby asks what a lens cap is, Bubble tells her, taking the lens cap out of Ice Cube's mouth. Freesmart is upset over the reveal that all of their video diaries (years of footage) were recorded with the lens cap on, but Bubble doesn't seem bothered, saying to Pencil that she's "so used to my entire life disappearing in an instant, that it doesn't really affect [her] anymore."
Ruby runs off with the BFDIA 6 voting results, causing Pencil to chase her and fall off of the Yoyle Needy. Bubble tries to pull her back up but ends up popping in the process. Book and Ice Cube run down, while Ruby jumps, to catch her. Ruby ends up shattering because she jumped, but Book is able to catch Pencil in time. She tells her to stop being so "rowdy".
Ice Cube puts Woody out when he's on fire, much to Book's dismay. Pencil doesn't seem to care, only complaining that they now have to recover her along with Bubble. Book tells her that Ruby also died, and she doesn't bother questioning how.
When Pencil seems disinterested in getting Match out of the TLC, Book says she thought Pencil would be more eager to see her, saying that they're "best friends". Pencil says they are, but Match was "too needy". Once Book and Pencil are done recovering Freesmart, they start dancing.
Battle For Battle for Dream Island[]
Pencil assumes that Freesmart will continue to stick together in BFB, but Book says that the team was unhealthy for her (and Ice Cube), so the 2 of them leave to go onto a different team. Bubble is demoted to "Bember" after she stops Lightning from zapping Flower.
At Cake at Stake, Match tells Ruby she did a good job after she's announced safe. Pencil assumes she's safe, saying "too bad about Fanny" when they're the last two left. With Pencil gone, Match asks Bubble what they do now, and Bubble explains that's what alternates (Book and Ice Cube) were for, before realizing that wouldn't work as they were both on different teams. They were also dead at the time.
When Iance frees Ice Cube from the jawbreaker, Bubble tries to get her to stay with them because she's one of the alliance alternates. When she returns to BLEH, Book sees her and gives her a hug, saying she missed her. She laters asks if something happened, as she "looks nervous", to which Ice Cube shakes her head no.
Book comforts Ice Cube after she thinks Taco abandoned her team.
When Bracelety yells out "Ice Cube" as Four says who is safe, Book questions what they're talking about, because Ice Cube is a member of BLEH and BLEH was not up for voting.
Ruby and Match are playing Spongy Cake until Flower takes Ruby away. When she's done with Flower, she asks Match if they can continue playing, only to see that she's now playing with Spongy.
Bubble agrees to do a staring contest with Match when she asks her to.
Ice Cube (nervously) agrees with Book that there's a chance they could return to Earth from the Moon.
Match comments that Bubble has been looking very "swollen" lately as she walks by Fries and Gelatin, who are talking about "swollen" being used as a new slang term for overweight.
Bubble has a flashback to BFDI 3 where Pencil says she's "so dumb she can't even count to 3", which encourages her to do her best when answering the questions. To her dismay, she can't answer the question correctly because it's nonsense, leading to Match berating her for not knowing it, acting as if it was obvious. After Bubble messes up another question, Match demotes her to "bemb".
Match tries to talk to Bubble a few episodes after this, but she's popped. Cloudy tells her that X cannot recover contestants so, because Four is currently gone, she can't be recovered. Once Bubble is recovered, she calls her name out, but Bubble ignores her.
When trying to come up for reasons that she should be voted back into the game, Pencil says that her alliance "needs her", and that they "just can't live without [her]".
Match says she hopes it's Pencil who rejoins the game. Later, when she brings up Pencil again, Bubble asks Match what's gotten into her. She apologizes to Bubble for lying about knowing the quiz answers, and says she only demoted her to set an example for her teammates. She then says that she needs to fill in Pencil's role, but Bubble says that what she needed wasn't Pencil, or a "strong leader", she needer her. Bubble refuses to immediately accept Match's apology, but thanks her for apologizing anyways.
When Match is eliminated, she says she should've seen it coming. Bubble tries to talk to her, but it's too late as she has already been sent into the EXIT. When Fanny says that she doesn't need her, Bubble claims that Match is her best friend, growing worried that Match's elimination was her fault since she didn't forgive her. She immediately apologizes to Ruby for replacing her (back in BFDIA 3).
After Bubble immediately forgives Snowball for popping her, Ruby notes that she is definitely not the imposter.
Book speaks for both her and Ice Cube when she claims that BLEH is becoming just like Freesmart, and that they need to leave. Ice Cube tells her to let her think for herself, and she leaves the team, going to Team Ice Cube! temporarily, before going back to Iance. On Iance, she helps the team out with their challenge, also showing her friendship with Bubble as they're both alliance members.
Ruby says she's mad at Flower for popping Bubble, saying Bubble's life was special. Later, she has a flashback to BFDIA, showing the scene where Pencil called Golf Ball a monster, saying she's "felt this feeling before" as Iance gets closer to Golf Ball on the surface.
While talking to Pin, Book brings up Freesmart, talking about how she never wants to associate with Match, or Freesmart, ever again, describing how she wanted to keep Ice Cube safe by getting her away from Taco, who hurt them. After this, she saves Ice Cube (and Taco) from the lava, getting herself killed in the process.
Ice Cube's happy thought involves Match, Pencil, and Book (along with Leafy) being burnt alive while she pops up to say "Revenge!". Book comments on how happy she is.
Match listens in on "Loser"'s diary along with Pencil, questioning when "Loser" combined with Four. Both of them are shocked when Donut's name is brought up in the diary. Later, both of them call Stapy fat, saying that Loser should climb instead because he's small. When Liy threatens to promote them to "bember", they both help Loser climb up even though they were intially refusing to. After Spongy is eliminated, both of them are disgusted and bail.
Ice Cube and Book both go onto TPOT, while Ruby and Bubble stay in BFB.
Battle For Battle For Battle for Dream Island[]
Bubble worries about her new team, but Ruby tries to cheer her up by saying she's part of her team. When she finds out Leafy is the cause of Bubble's nervousness, she tries to call her over to talk about it, but Bubble stops her. Because she's still sad, Ruby tells Bubble that, at the very least, she's on a different team than Blocky.
Ruby reveals that she was given the Freesmart Van by Pencil before her elimination, and shows it to Bubble when she has no plan for the challenge, saying that they could use the van. She stops Bubble from trying to grab X because she's "too fragile".
Bubble eggs on Ruby when she's fighting with Taco, chanting "Fight! Fight! Fight!" along with Gelatin.
Since they're both alliance members, Ruby gives Bubble air when she needs it.
Bubble tells Gelatin that, ever since Ruby got eliminated, she had started to feel lonely on the team because she didn't really have any other friends there.
When Ruby uses the Freesmart supervan to follow Four, Bubble says she's "so smart" and Ruby simply replies that she knows that already. After Bubble tells a thrilled Ruby that flying off into space isn't a happy occasion, Ruby's tone switches to fear instead of joy.
Bubble and Ruby eat Flower's grand cake prize together and sit with each other to listen to Gelatin's story.
The Power of Two[]
Ice Cube refuses to be on Book's team when she offers, so the two never interact after TPOT 1.
Pencil questions Match's decision to continue exploring around the EXIT, but agrees when she says it's "as good an idea as any".
Pencil and Match are split apart in the EXIT after Pencil tells Match to go with Liy and Stapy to explore the waterfall. Match says that they have to stick together, but Pencil tells her that they need her more right now, and that they can hang out more after this is all over.
Fanon[]
While Freesmart is a very popular team within the BFDI fandom, the ship between the members is not very popular. Many people think both Pencil and Match's leadership of the team is toxic, and, therefore, a relationship between the members would be unhealthy. Poly ships are also usually not as popular as a lot of people prefer single pairings within a group, rather than having the whole group together. Generally, people prefer the more popular ships from within Freesmart (such as Matchcil and Rububble) more than the whole team being shipped together.
