French Pearls is the femslash ship between Coco and Pearl from the Starlight Express fandom.

Bochum 2018[]
Coco is with the other engines and the coaches when Control announces that they bought a new coach called Pearl. Pearl is pushed forward by one of the engines, and she tells them to stop pushing. Coco calls her cheeky and plays with Pearl's ponytail. Dinah tells the engines to leave Pearl alone but Coco tells Dinah to stay out of it. Coco tells the coaches to stop chattering and get behind the engines, but Dinah tells her they're talking to Pearl. Coco then calls Dinah defective as she circles Pearl before joining the other engines. The other coaches then defend Pearl against Greaseabll, Coco and the other engines. After the final race, Coco finds Pearl on the ground. She tells her to stop messing with the engines, and that even Rusty deserves a better coach. She then skates off leaving Pearl alone.

French Pearls is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to Coco being exclusive to the post 2018 revamp Bochum production. Making it harder for some fans to get to see their relationship. Especially in the english speaking part of the fandom. Given how antagonistic Coco is towards the coaches some fans enjoy it as an enemies to lovers style ship. Some also prefer to ship Coco with a different version of Pearl. Feeling the pink aesthetic would work better with Coco's. There is currently a small following on tumblr.
Shippers believe that the ship would have Coco being more reluctant to show Pearl affection. Especially given her standoffish nature. Others believe it would actually be the opposite. That Pearl would be one of the few that can get Coco to show any emotion or affection. With her able to break through her walls to get her to admit her feelings.
