French Wine is the femslash ship between Coco and Belle from the Starlight Express fandom.
Canon[]
When Pearl is introduced to the yard, Coco joins Greaseball and the other engines in arguing with the coaches, including Belle. Coco and the engines try to argue that they're in charge, but Belle and the coaches argue that things have changed and they will be in charge now. When Control calls for everyone to get with their partners, Belle quickly partners with Coco before they skate away to prepare for their heat. Heat 2 is called to begin and Control introduces Coco and Belle for tracks 3. Coco gives her call sign as Belle mimes taking a drink, Coco taking them down to the track. Control calls for the race to begin and the two race off. They initially lead, and do so for most of the race, but eventually start to fall behind. Belle then performs badly as she continually drinks throughout the race. This causes the two to lose and Coco becomes angry with her before they skate off.

French Wine is overall a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Though it does have a small following among fans of the 2018 Bochum revisions. Specifically among those who enjoy shipping the engines with their racing partners. Some fans see them as an on again/off again type of relationship. Mostly due to Coco's relationship with the coaches not being very positive in the show. Making some feel that Belle would not be very keen on being with her very often. Most fans of the ship will also use the name "Brandi-Belle" or just "Brandi" for Belle's name. As not to confuse her with the original Belle, or the Belle from the London revival. Its main rival ship is Package Store.
On AO3, French Wine is the most written ship for Coco and the second most written for Belle. There are currently 9 written works.
